After having some work done that involved front end removal, I am noticing some play in the windshield. It seems a little loose when pulling it back and forth while standing in front of it. Can anyone check to see if your windscreens have any play in them? (kind of like a loose tooth)

I may be crazy and maybe it was always like that, just figured someone here could let me know.

thanks!

My windshield has some play. I don't know if it is normal or not.

Mine does too. Loose tooth is a good analogy.

Mine has had a little play since the bike was new. I figure it needs play in its track so it won't bind when raise/lowered at highway speeds.

My windshield also has play, I figure this is normal.

I also have play on my shifter pivot point. Nut and sleeve is tight, shifts fine.

thanks guys-

I suppose that's what i get for not wrenching on my own bike.

I guess I was just being hypersensitive.

Appreciate the responses.

My 08, with power windshield added; had play and i replaced the foam pads that support it when at its lowest point, using thicker foam pads i acquired somewhere?? by doing this it firmed up the wshield when lowered all the way and also did away with some of the front end rattle and buzz that my bike is known for...I think Victory has really fallen on it's face by not improving all the rattles and road noise in the front of the Vision...haven't riddent he Cross bike, are they bad as well??
