I kind of like it, I can hear when it is realy pulling. There is NOTHING like the sound of a big v twin thumping up a grade.

Not sure what you are hearing from the "airbox" because the Vision doesn't really have an airbox. The air enters thru the filter directly behind the headlamp and travels thru the frame and into the engine. However what you may possibly be hearing is a leak around the small plate that sits on top of the frame underneath the radio console? But there really hasn't been anyone reporting any leaks with this plate. If you think you might have some type of leak this plate is easy to get at and fix though, simply remove the radio console and all of the screws for the plate are right there.

Since the 2010 setup is the EXACT same as the 2008 and there isn't any type of problems with the air intake there isn't any type of thing to "retrofit"

The frame is the airbox. And yes, I had to seal up around my cover as it was sucking in unfiltered air.

i know when i installed the lloydz setup i heard Serious intake noise! I remembered thinking the few first time i started the bike.. WTF is wrong with my vision! then i understood it was just breathing more and i turned up the radio. but if someone was to come around my bike and hear it idle they would surely question what was wrong with it..

Nah... One person has asked me what the noise was and I told them that I had a dual intake under the console. I explained the integrated frame intake. He was interested. That was about it.

The added part to reduce intake noise is a rubber boot that fits inside the frame. The frame hasn't changed in 2010. Access is through the top plate underneath the radio, so it should be pretty simple to retrofit. Dealers should be able to get this part - it's listed in the "engine, air intake" section of the parts catalog for the MY10 Vision. PN should be 5413669.

By the looks of it, it snaps into place in the ribbed section of the frame which is in front of the access plate so it wont do any justice for people with intake plates.

Is this the piece you are talking about?
Lloyd pulled mine off this year in Laconia.
I definetely have more intake noise since it was removed.

It looks similar but only has one larger hole instead of 4 and it faces forward instead of backward
like that one.

Lloyd, can you get these parts ? im not worried about air sucking sound , more like exhaust sound is in the cockpit instead of out the back end . i have big honkers which sound simalar to my road king but i have alot of loud exhaust in the rider area, thats what i want to reduce. tnx, tom ps i have your vfciii controler and your dual intake piece.
