Does the CC come with the Ipod hook-up or do you buy $150 worth of connecters to get to use one,the glossy brochure says it comes with it,passenger floor boards,21 gallon saddlebags, now i know it has the bags and floorboards but I can not find the mp3 plug anywhere.Am I wrong believing it comes with the connection?

You need to buy them. They are worth it too. You might as well get the bag too.

I will answer my own question.
It is not too difficult, takes about an hour.

How about a step-by-step instruction procedure for those who may wish to emulate your installation. I'm sure many of us would like to know how you went about hooking up your i-pod.

The instructions in the kit are pretty clear.
Taking off the headlight bezel was kind of difficult since I didn't want to damage it. Finding the right wires also took some time as there are ALOT of wires and the ones needed were hidden. I did not take off the tank but I did unbolt it to lift up the rear of it to route the wire. Just make sure that you are careful with the rubber grommets at the tank bolts, go really slow when lifting or lowering the tank.
other than that, it isn't too bad. 8 bolts in all and I only needed to use two tie wraps. Now I only need some warmer weather.

I appreciate your comments regarding the installation procedures for the ipod. Glad everything went well and that it wasn't too hard to get it up and running.

I added the iPod kit to my XC and it wasn't difficult at all. I did it while the fairing facia was off so finding the connectors was pretty easy. I also added the GPS kit to the bike at the same time - just as easy!

I ended up getting the short wire....ordered the wrong part on accident. I mounted it on the bottom side of the handle bar with an ipod arm band piece. I like it there better myself

Used iPod Touch's are going down in price right now. I just picked up a 32gb 2nd Gen for $108 off ebay. After I charge it up I'll just leave it in the saddlebag until I want to add more music or pic's to it.
