Is this what I need to connect my new mini compressor that has a cigarette plug to the Powerlet in the dash or trunk?

be careful with the mini compressor. i connected one to my 08 trunk and i felt the adaptor get dangerously hot. i dont think it is made for that type of current useage. so now i just connect it to the battery tender cable. then i know it will Not burn a wire inside my trunk

That will work. I have the PAC-028. Only 6 bucks more and had 2 sockets. I have a fairly large portible compressor I keep in the trunk of my car. I used it every day for a week till I replaced a rear tire that was punctured. Didn't get warm at all. Guess it depends on the compressor. If you use it with the bike running putting out 14V as opposed to 12V with it off it will draw a little less amperage and may not get as warm.

I bought mine at a BMW dealer. Here is a website to buy online.

Less connections are always better.

It might be better to replace the plug on the air compressor cord.

Or, you COULD swing by your VICTORY dealer and pick one up, I've got a rig for my phone that hooks the dealer accessory lighter powerlet to the adapter that came with my phone, it all fits in the glove box and the phone charges while I ride, and it eliminated all the PAYPAL and waiting for the big brown truck so show up, took me about 15 minutes (:45 seconds to find the powerlet adaptor and 14:45 of seeing what else they had )

Here is what I got and they work just fine. I use a "Slime" 12vdc portable compressor all the time with no ill effects.

I agree with Rollin'. Less connections are always better, especially with a high current device like a compressor.

I use the "Slime" mini air compressor, which came with both battery clips and the plug you describe, and "battery tender" leads. I've had to use it a couple of times and I just used the battery clips directly on to the battery terminals. No worries about wiring adapters or overtaxing the wiring system of the bike that way, and it's real easy to get to the battery on the Vision. That little compressor draws about 14 or 15 amps, so I started my bike and let it idle while the compressor was running.

my slime mini compressor came with a power adaptor that will plug right into the battery tender cord that came standard on the 2008 model... now my 2011 model did NOT come with that BT cord, but i purchased one from my local harley davidson store for $7.95 . which reminds me i need to install it.. lol
