Just noticed it's cracked around two of the mounting bolts. Anyone have one?

It's not the infamous rear part it's the front. I may try yo epoxy it and reinforce it with fiberglass. It'll still look like crap though...

I went to the auto store and asked for plastic weld. When I put it back to gather I put a large flat washer on the inside. Buy the way Vic will tell you they do not cover body parts. Out of the four bolts one was loose and thats where it cracked.
There is a black front fender on ebay

Wow, why is it that often I feel like I'm taking it in the arse when I buy something for my Vision? Really, I mean can't they at least use KY? Kewlmetal Charging $434 for an UNPAINTED fender? And HMD charging $370? Damn. Somehow it just ain't right. Thank goodness my fender is fine!!

George, it's because A: the cost assciated with developing an producing a part for our bikes is very high to begin with and then I'm sure they don't sell many so the price never comes down and B: A lot of people have more money than you or I can fathom. I'm a working class stiff with three kids, most things in this world are priced out of my reach but "they" sure sell tons of "it".

I wouldn't even own a Vision if I hadn't got mine for $12K. Even at that "great price" I can barely afford it.....

I fixed mine with a piece of thin gage aluminum. first I took it off, put blue painters tape on the outside, put all the pieces back together with JB weld. cut the aluminum piece to fit the profile of the inside and JB welded it to the inside, covered that with blue painters tape to hold everything together tight. let it dry overnight. next day drilled two holes one above the other on each side.(back side of fender) (did both sides right and left) then put 3/8th bolts in thru the plastic and aluminum. no problems for 2 years now. just my 2 cents on this subject. (make sure you cut the aluminum piece for the front and back bolts)

George, I am sure you would have no problem doing all the reverse engineering and paying to have the lights on and paying taxes for a flat $20 labor fee. We only charge $70 an hour for engineering work and that's cheap in the market. Oh did I forget the cost of material and then time and labor to make that flat piece of sheetmetal to look like a fender someone would be proud to have on there Vision?

How often people buy a "good" deal but forget the cost of maintenance.
