Geez, I am still amazed at the comments i get with my '08 Cherry Vision... After 17,000 miles, I still get the..."Is that a brand new one??" Comments. I thought everyone would have seen one by now. I just love dry days in the winter so i can ride!! I just hope no ice comes our way soon.....-------Metalguy

Yeah! What I find odd is that I ride everyday, cold, hot, or raining but most folk don't say much unless it is a warm day. I've stopped at a convenient store several times over the months. I stopped there on Wednesday on the first warm day we had in a while and got several compliments and even a conversations. But most said, "I bet you're glad you can get your bike out and ride in this warm weather.

Memphis

On my way into work today I had to merge onto the main loop around Memphis with a double lane on-ramp.  As I was setting up to merge, I saw six Ultra's about 100 yards ahead of me in the middle lane of the freeway.  There was a pretty good wad of traffic between me and them and it took me about half a mile to get into the far left lane and cruise past them about 5 mph faster (they were doing about 65).  I didn't even get a nod as I passed the back five but as I passed the leader, I rolled on it and got about 50 feet in front of the pack, merged into their lane and just stayed there.  Within 10 seconds the leader sped up and abruptly changed lanes to the right of me, leaving his buddies for a second.  He pulled up beside me with a big head nod and a thumbs up.  I had the cruise set and gave him a "V" with my right hand.  They had traffic coming up in their lane so I rolled it up to 85 to let them get behind me in my lane and we went our separate ways.

Guess what the topic of conversation was at their next stop...

I too noticed that the conversations only seem to take place on the warmer days. Maybe it is because it is cold, and they wanna get in their warm cars, or maybe they just think I am crazy. (They may be right) It is just going to get more, and more as it warms! -----Metalguy

The Vision draws attention no matter where you go. I believe it is just the different nature of the design and falls into one of three camps; Either it is beautiful, butt ugly, or they just can't get their mind around the design. Now I like to visit other bike forums just to see what folks are saying and it seems to go down the same divide. However I find the guys who say it is butt ugly have never seen one up close and/or they have never ridden one. Just about everyone who has demo'd one falls in love with it.
My local riding area is dominated by HD's and my Vision is only one of two. I can't say as I see any rivalry or negative stuff from the HD riders. This is pretty common in my region as folks tend to accept any rider regardless of brand.
Now if the weather would improve so I can go ride I might get a few more compliments, lol.

Yesterday on the way home from work, a guy rolled down his window at the light asked me if I wanted to trade rides. I said "No!" and took off on the green light.

Ride Safe.

Woohoo! me and the wifey went for a ride today, about an 80 mile round trip for a Valentine dinner, she's a real trooper. It was never over 60 degrees, in fact I think it was more like 54. This was a record for her.

When we came out of the resturant in Williamsburg a family with mostly adult children was coming out about the same time. The dad, a much older gentleman, commented to one of the younger, maybe a grandson, "wouldn't like to have one like that?" His picking reply was, "No, I want one of those," pointing to one of those Saturn sports cars, "I wouldn't ride that thing." He seemed to be obviously trying to pick, but I gave no response or acknowledgement they were even talking about the Vision. The older gentleman stopped and said, "that is a very nice bike, looks like it would cost as much as a car." I thanked him and told him yes, it does cost as much as a car. We exchanged a little more on the comfort and handling, but he looked as though he was really admiring it. The younger ones never seemed to let up and talked about their desires in sports bikes. Youngin's, they just don't know do they?

Vinner1, do I have to ride up there just to get you to come out and ride? You guys are in the mid 20 to 30's during the day, and the way they salt and sand the highways up there should keep the ice away. Come on, take it for a spin!

This still cracks me up. . .

So, as some of you know, the weekend after Thanksgiving we were rear-ended while approaching a stop sign. We weren't injured, but that little accident did about $3000 worth of damage to the bike.

We are standing there, the Vision on its tip-overs, the guy that hit us standing next to his car behind us, 2 County Sheriff cars investigating, and a long line of traffic slowly trying to get around the mess. A guy in a truck stops next to us and says, "Wow, that is a great looking bike. Or was. How do you like it? Does it ride the way they say it does?"

Finally, one of the officers walks over and tells the guy to get a move on as traffic is really starting to stack up.

Yep, the Vision stops traffic.

The other day a co-worker with his Road King and I took a lunch ride up P.C.H. thru Malibu. We were riding along side a classic VW micro bus that pulled along side at one of the lights to ask if my bike was a H.D. and my co-worker replied no... its' a Victory! The Bug guy then goes on to say well that a real cool bike.. On we go and my HD buddy says lets pass that A@#$% and so we did. Ultimatly ending up at the same lunch spot on the coast...

On the ride home another interested onlooker on the 101 in a pickup was using his PDA to take pictures of me at 60 mph ultimatly asking the same question I think he was wowed by the bike.

We pull off the fwy and my buddy is like ("what? another interested onlooker?!)

At times it nice to know that ones that are impressed with the Visions lines really show it without hesitation.

Oh Yeah I still love this bike and hate it when I need to drive the car ...

I was recently talking with a buddy from Canada who had just gotten his H.D. Eglide cvo 110 that sounds like a real nice bike. He asked me what mine had and I told him and in the end he says that I got the same stuff for much less.... I agreed... I asked if he had ridden the Vision and he had not. In the end I think we are both satisfied, I know the difference and he has not experienced it yet...

Warmer weather is on the horizon

Yeah!

Just think how many compliments you'd get had you waited for the blue one to come out.
