I need to find a job that's a 100 miles further from home.
Kudos.

The key is, don't look for excuses not to ride.  I'm always facinated at the number of people who say "I would have rode today, but..."  I have a few myself, but not until I've thoroughly exhausted all possibilities.  I can show up to work in a suit and tie ready to brief a General (military) audience, or go grocery shopping.

I had to get the picture, because it would have drove me nutso if I didn't...

I got a bit over 47,000 and I agree with you, I look for any excuse to ride that I can. Congrats and keep up the progress reports, they are VERY encouraging to us to see you getting that many trouble free miles!

RTeach, I've been good and I hope all is well for you and yours. I was just thinking I hadn't popped bye in a long while and decided to sneak a peak. When I saw VA's mileage I just had to comment. He's got me beat with only 42 on the VV, 30k on the ECG and now another 6k on the new beemer I still fall short of his 111k even if I factor in the 6 month headstart he got, lol.... I'll catch up this summer with a trip to AK..

I am of course assuming he's still on his 08... He's got the right thought though. If you ride all the time instead of taking the cage, it becomes routine and the norm. So you really don't TRY to rack up the miles they just happen. I still ride mine mainly for pleasure which means caging it most days for work. Dress clothes suck in the cold, lol....

I'll try and stop on occasions to say hey.......

Ill be breaking the 50,000 mark on my way home from work today. Still loving the VV as much or more than the day I bought it. I'm trying to kick the excuses not to ride to the curb and ride every chance I get. Hopefully in a couple of years I'll be in the 100,000 mile club also.
