Anyone look at these first hand or own one?

On sale with a 20% coupon gets it right, if its usable on a VV. One customer review read well with an Ultra Classic. Opinions?

At 30" off the gound, this thing seems like a good comprise between 18" off the ground with the jack and the $500 lift.

I would love to see the bike on this lift. I just don?t trust it. My concern is the same as the floor lift. Picking the bike up by the bottom of the engine is just not stable. The bike rocked when I tried it with a Sears (yellow) floor jack.

I'm with you fred, a 900lb bike being lifted by the engine, not that it has a hazard by doing that, but I don't believe it will be stable. I think we would do better on the ramp lifts with the fold aways to work on the tires and such.

I bought the red drive on motorcycle lift from harbor freight, with the right coupons I got it for $287.00 plus tax. It holds my vision great, rolls on wheels, my snow blower can go up on it no problem, it is a great portable work bench for my aluminum brake and when tipped on edge it only is 10 inches wide so it dosent take up a huge amount of space. It has a hydraulic foot pump which raises the bike easy and a safety bar so it cant drop by mistake. Eric

just a side note, all victory's are held by thier motors untiltheycome off the production line. All victory engines are an integral part of the frame.

I have seen a bracket someone is making that mounts under the engine to give you a strong flat base to lift from. I don?t like the idea because the bottom of the engine looks like it has cooling fins but I could be wrong.

I don't dispute what they do in production, but the fully assembled 900lb bike sitting on a shakey two tong lift with just straps is not the same.

Fred, good info. I would probably look for the coupons Eric mentioned and get an entire lift for approx same price

American Legion has the 20% off coupon almost every month. I don't know if they ask for a card or not when using it.

I don't know what you have for a cage but a friend of mine owns a drive on lift and when he isn't using it he put a couple of 1x9's one on each side and he parks his suv on top of the lift.
Sorry I said drive on lifts. My buddy drove his vision on one day and tipped over. Now he pushes it on all the time.

I haven't bought one yet, but I'm going with a Pitbull lift. http://www.pitbullmotorcyclelifts.com/index.html

My bro-in-law has one and uses it on his goldwing and FJR. We put the Vision on it and it was stable. Pitbull doesn't have the special adapter plate for a Vision, yet.

But I have to tell you, it one heck of a sturdy lift!!

if you can weld or know someone who can this looks interesting. I am thinking about building this with aluminum on the deck to make it lighter than the HB lift table.
http://www.afabonline.com/table_lift_plans.htm

Eric - how difficult is it to tip the Harbor Freight table on it's side?
