Ol'e Blue is in need of repairs so she is grounded until the mechanic has her road worthy again. in the meantime the trade in 08 Vision has been simmering in my mind ever since I laid eyes on it 2 or 3 weeks ago when I went to purchase an oil change kit. It was a good deal especially with the accessories the previous owner put on it. Blue had been giving me signals that she would soon need some work since Daytona in March. It has been my dream to be a Vision rider since they came out. Everything just sort of fell into place (God made a way for me to own one). I felt like God was saying ok. My credit union said ok, The wife said ok, (Had to work on the wife, she loves to ride as much as me and loves the Vision but was apprehensive as to whether we could make the payments), , so after praying about it, I took the leap and I love it! I still have a goal of Blue being a 200,000 mile motorcycle so she will still be my commuter when I get her back. I couldn't be without a bike while Blue was in the shop and I knew what my next bike would be so, it was good timing. When Blue is back, the Vision will be mostly for traveling and weekend liesure, the 99 for commuting, mostly that's the plan anyway. The Vision had about 20,350 when I picked it up Friday May 25th. Blue is around 130,500.

it has the PIA lights, lower air deflectors, front fender trim, easy clutch, luggage rack, vanity mirror, trunk organizer, trunk carpet, atom bomb exhaust along with secondary air filter upgrade and gatlin tips and (one of my favorite things) a lifetime subsrciption to XM satelite radio. oh and a cup holder. The only thing I want to add is driver backrest, heel/toe shifter, trailer hitch and my wife wants armrests

Sounds like she came with almost everything a VV rider needs. You have a few things most of us aspire to add! I will say, I love the Utopia backrest and my wife loves her armrests!

I just installed the armrests Thursday I bought off a member here. And, I have the order in for the Utopia. Scheduled to be made July 2nd I am going to order a trailer hitch soon and I want a 2" shorter windshield. The distorted top rim of the stock shield is right in my line of sight sometimes and I like to look over the shield. After I install the Utopia, I will decide whether or not I need the 2" pullback bars. While we're wishing, I would also love to have the lower 8ball seat as a spare when the wife doesn't need/want the heated seat. Of course , one day , I want to give it to KevinX for some Lloyds cam install.

Congrats on the purchase. Your desire list is pretty good and you will love the beckrest. It will leave plenty of room for your passenger as well. You might want to think twice about the heel-toe shifter. I also had this on my list of options but never did get one and know I know that I do not miss this option. Had one on everything I ever owned so I thought I wanted one on the vision too. An experienced owner warned me that it might be better off without one which allows the driver to use the entire floor board to change foot positions. I also wear size 14 boots. I have not missed the heel- toe shifter on my vision.

everyone really talks up the backrest, it makes me very excited to get it. I have already put the heel/toe shifter on and I have to say , I love it! With the toe only , I was mis-shifting some. it was also scuffing my boot. I found it harder to find neuatral at a stop and to easy to find neutral when going through the gears. The new heel toe address all those issues giving a more deliberate, more definitive shift without the heel portion taking up any room on the board. It is a very unique design. Very cool imo.

Let us know how you feel as you take a knife and stab that seat when you mount the driver back rest. It's just a weird feeling at first but really worth it in my opinion.
