Depending on your riding, you may just want to go with a luggage rack and then strap on a case whenever you need it. I personally leave the trunk on all the time as I store work gear in there for every day's commute, and put my helmet back there whenever I top at a store or someplace on the weekend. But I think the vision does look VERY nice without the trunk.

I sold my tour pack for $1k and bought the cover plate new for less than $100. No regrets unless you say you would have paid me $1500 for the pack!
