That's unfortunate, it's possible these covers could have some percent of variation.

I have had the bike sit out in a snow storm with no adverse impacts but today I pulled it after a hard rain and the seat and gas tank were wet. Are these just dust covers like my cover or do they actually keep the rain out?

If you know who made the cover go on line to there site and see what they say.

I'll bet its a all weather cover so yes rain and snow proof

Street Eagle - 2013-04-11 3:31 PM looking at the pictures, it appears that the material is getting close to tensile strength. This is the breaking point of a material being stretched or pulled. The material really looks stressed around the front lens, mirrors and the outer circumference area of the trunk compartment. I' thinking if there was any dirt on any of those areas when putting on or taking it off would easily cause scratching. But I don't own one, just going on observations.

I looked at my pics again and the cover does look tight. The material seems to be sewn well and I don't think the stitching will be ripping apart. I mainly bought the cover for hotel stays and thought it would be easy to pack.

This cover is pretty much a dust, shade and water resistant cover. I like the idea of having the top half of the bike covered at different overnight locations.
