Pittsburgh, PA | hey john, i stopped playing around and just ordered the same valve stems you recommended. (black) they look Very well made. im going to a CT very soon and i order the new stems and dynaBeads as well.. I just wanted to say thank you for the link(s). |

Pittsburgh, PA | HEADS UP EVERYONE... these KurveyGirl valve stems DO NOT work with the vision Black wheels.. the size of the black wheels valve stem is the exact size of the valve (the part you check for air pressure). |

Pittsburgh, PA | i should add the size for the 2008 vision is not the same size for the 2011.. from what i read the 2008 has the same size as the goldwing. my 2011 vision with Black wheel do Not have the same setup. the whole in the wheel is much smaller than a gold wings. i went to the dark side today and a buddy of mine that was also replacing his GW car tire to another Ct (28000 miles on the ct btw) his valve stem was much wider than mine when we looked at the holes in each others wheels... |

Pittsburgh, PA | i already have the CT on the wheel. it was kind of a now or never thing. i got a chance for a automotive shop to install my car tire for Free.. i just used dynabeads... i did want to replace the valve stem for easier checking and adding air.. i guess ill have to wait a few years now... i just wanted to share this info..
on a side note, i removed my 08 rear wheel 3-4 times in the past. this time when removing the 11 rear wheel i noticed a few changes... 1) the shock bolts are different. on the 08 they were black and have an 8 on the head.. these one the 11 are yellowish/brass colored and say 10.9. i also noticed the rear pulley is very differnt in how it mounts. on the 08 the wheel had threads for the pulley to sit on. but on the 11 wheel the pulley sits on the wheels then you thread the bolts into the wheel. , then of course the valve stem Size had changed. one last thing i noticed was when i had to remove the shock bolts and rear axle bolt it was on there way way tighter than my 08... all my bolts on the 08 were easy to remove... |
