Stopped at the Gastonia NC ( Lowell ) Indian dealer. They have been selling Victory motorcycles for about two years now. It's on my way to Charlotte and like alot of Harley dealerships these days it's right on the Interstate with a giant and beautiful shop front. This used to be the Flagship dealer when the Indians were being made in Kings Mountain NC. I usually stop and get a 5 qt jug of oil cause I'm always stockpiling since I have two Visions now.

Talking to an employee there and he seems to always be there everytime I stop in, I as told that Indians will not be sold at every Victory dealer, BUT all Indian dealers could sell Victory. That seems a little odd, but I'm just reporting what I was told.

Maybe because alot of Victory dealerships also sell other brands as well and they want the Indians to be a stand alone dealership except for brother Victory ?? Just a thought.

I spoke with a local Victory dealer that used to sell Indians and they said that to sell the new Indian's is under a different type of contract then just selling Victory's. It's seems Polaris wants the Indian dealer to be like a "boutique" stand alone dealership. They said it is much more expensive to carry Indians and even how they set up the showroom will be dictated by Polaris. So it seems that some Victory dealers may opt not to carry Indians

I think the ones that opt in will have dealerships that are patterened after Harley's current model. Hopefully it will work. Works for Harley, but they do sell 240,000 bikes a year............Don't really care but I do hope it is successful, I do want to test ride a new Chief, and I know where to go.

I think it's more like having a franchise. Each one has its own set of rules to follow and separate fee structure. Dealers would get hit with separate fees associated with the privilege of selling more than one line. I can't wait to see how it works out, though!
