I have a question about the clutch fluid. Every year when I change the fluid it looks darker, and at the bottom of the master cylinder there is a thin layer of dark material I pick up on my Q-tips. The brake containers are always clean. Does the clutch fluid get a harder work out than the brake fluid, or is there someplace that allows contaminates in? Has anyone else ever seen this? Thanks and Happy New Year!

Mine is as clean as the brake. You replace every year wow.
Try flushing your line with extra fluid.
Yes you use the clutch more then the brake but I wouldn't think using would be a factor.
Denny you don't say where you live so can't say if the climate has any factor.
As far as what your finding do you think its from the gasket. Maybe were the screws screw in or some little tear.

my 08 vision was the same way.. very dark clutch fluid but not dark brake fluid. i flushed mine as well. i think the clutch fluid would be in contact with more heat for a longer period of time.

I don't believe it's a heat issue- I believe the darker color due to the different material used in the hydraulic lines.
