Hello all
Want to install satelite radio but don't know what reciecver is better when it comes to clarity. Is it the XM model or the Sirrus model. Thank you for all your help.

PS: I live in Utah so there are alot of mountains that surround me.

I could be wrong, as I often am, but are they one in the same since they merged? If so wouldn't the signals be the same now? I still use the XM stations but I know there are Sirrus stations available to me now.

I use a Sirius Starmate 5....$99 at Best Buy, supports ala carte programming ($6.99/mo.) and it works excellent.

They have merged and the only difference is the radio you buy and the channel lineup. We get Sirius on the Dish Network satellite and I have XM in the car. One day not too long back, I had the Sirius on in the house. The wife pulled in the garage and I heard the same song on the car radio, about 3 seconds behind. OK. I've had that happen on regular radio. So I putzed around for a few minutes and left the car on. Same exact songs about 3 seconds apart for over 20 minutes. Too much to be a coincidence. Apparently they use the same song tracks for the same genre stations on both networks. If you want Oprah, you have to go XM. Howard Stern is Sirius. Otherwise they are both $12.95/mo or you can pay more and get both. Just pick the radio that you like best and subscribe to that one. The offerings are pretty much the same.
