I just picked up my replacement bike! My 2009 Vision was totaled about a month ago, and the insurance finally settled. My new 2012 is all black and I will be transferring lots of chrome and stuff from my old bike when the weather turns. My 2009 was a Tour Premium, so had lots of goodies. One of those was the HID headlight. Anybody know how I tell if the headlight on my new bike is HID or not?

Its easy to see. . Turns on slow, kind of flickers, gets brighter as it warms up, has a bit of a blue tint to it. At night is is brighter than the headlight.Congrats on the new bike.

Does the bulb look like the other 2? or is it much thinner.
Can you tell it's on at night? The halogen one isn't real noticeable. You can't mistake the HID brightness.

If the cyclops bulb is stock, it's halogen. The '12s didn't have the HID standard. VictoryHID.com has them (plug n play) for $50.

Correct. 2012 doesn't have the HID center light.

I can tell the HID is on in daylight! At night, the reflection off road signs hurts my eyes.
