Today when I filled up with gas the radio stoped working and the radio display is P10. Anyone know what this is????? The bike runs fine, nothing apparant is wrong. I figure it might be bad gas which set off the 02 sensor.....

Most of the time the radio will reset itself when you turn it off or turn off the bike. P10 should be your preselection channel 10. Check it after turning it off and on again and pushing a few buttons. Disconnect the battery also, you'll have to reset the clock is all, but that might cure it. If not check the book, or the dealer.

Disconnecting the battery cleared it up. The display showed the fm channel and P10 even with the key switch off. The intercom even worked after the ignition key was removed. Really weird.

it's a computer and sometimes you just have to reboot before you give it the boot.

Next time it does it, turn the key on and off a couple times. May take several tries so just take some time with it. This should unlock the radio and resume normal operation. This IS a problem you need to report to the dealer as there is a download that is suppose to cure this issue (it won't). Basically the radio is going out and will die a slow miserable death over time, so you want the dealer involved now. Who knows the download might cure it for you.
Here is what I can tell you. The computer has a priority power supply system incorporated. So when you turn the key on the power goes to fuel, ignition, headlite and radio. The radio is the lowest priority. So it will lock out if the system draw is too high (lowest priority). Victory came up with a download that will supposedly address this problem but it didn't work on mine and soon after the radio packed it in completely. New radio fixed all the problems.

rlreed, not sure where you are on your waranty but you may want to have a chat wth your dealer. Since this is a pretty common and obviously recognized issue with the 08/09 radio's he may be able to get authorization from Vic to have it replaced. Obviously the 5.12A download hasn't rectified the issue so it is a bad radio and therefore should be replaced under warranty.
