The wife and I went on a shopping spree today and the Prime One Outlet in San Marcos, Texas. If you have an Under Armor Outlet in your area and you would like some winter gloves call them and see if they have the sale too.

First, I bought a faded blue denim Wrangler Jacket for $24 at the VF Outlet store. I already have one of these for a jacket so I am cutting this one down to a vest so I can wear cotton instead of leather in the summer for a vest. In 100 degree heat leather is too hot to wear.

The best deal was on gloves for the winter. In the Under Armor outlet store I noticed some Cold Gear gloves hanging on the wall. I went over to take a look and a salesperson named Brad told me that all of the winter gloves are 19.99 or less. I saw a pair that was originally $59.99 now discontinued – Men's Cold Gear Extreme Gloves. They come with black removable liners that you can wear as a glove by themselves and the outer glove is waterproof and insulated.

I also picked up a pair of glove liners Cold Gear and a pair or Idylwild Gloves for 14.99 each. Finally for bow hunting I picked up a pair of Derecho Convertible Mitts for 19.99.

She bought shoes, some tops and a dress.

Remember that these are winter gloves that are not made for riding. They are not as tough as riding gloves and do not do well sliding down the street. That does not mean that I do not ride with them sometimes but I understand the risk I take.

Just think 65 mph wind chill, in 20 degree weather. It starts to make sense.

Dimonback is right.

Last winter I rode to Fredricksburg for lunch from San Antonio. About 220 mile round trip with some extra riding. It was 28 when I started out and cloudy. The speed limit on IH10 is 70 and I normally run about 5 over. As we all know from riding the air trapped in the valleys is colder then the weather mans thermometer.

Then the sun came out at noon and the area heated up to 68. Off with the heavy gear and down the road I went.

With the heated grips/seat I was doing just fine.

These gloves are wind proof and water proof and they have liners. I can wear just the liners, the gloves or both depending on the weather at that time of the day.

The only weather that keeps me off of the Vision is thunder storms that rain horizontally at over a half an inch an hour and ice.

I left SOUTH Texas down by McAllen on a November morning around 8am. It was 30 degrees and I had frost on the Vision. That day it never got above 50 as I went north through Texas. The cold weather gear did me well along with the heated grips and heated hiney holder.

No website.

I was at the Under Armor Outlet store at the outlet shopping area in San Marcos, Texas. It is a Prime One outlet and they have these type of stores all over the country. They also have some Under Armor Outlet stores at some Tanger Outlets.

To find the outlet stores in your area just ask a wife. Any wife will do. Then ask if they have a Under Armor Outlet store.

I am sooooo verrryyyy lucky that the Under Armor store is next to a Dooney and Burke store. For that matter my wife can find a Dooney and Burke purse for sale any where on the planet with out a GPS.

For example, did you know they have a Dooney and Burke store in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. Well, she found it! All I wanted to do was go to the Barcardi Factory on the other side of the bay, but nope.....we bought a purse.

What can I say, I love her.

Sounds like a nice fall ride in the Chicagoland area! LOL!

With the grip heaters, I wished someone made a pair of insulated gloves that had thin palms so the heat could actually make it to your hands.
