Has anyone renewed their VRA membership recently? I renewed mine earlier in May and got my new card this past week. On the back of the card it says to call the toll free number on the card for roadside assistance. Unfortunately no where on the card does it have the toll free number. I guess they are trying to reduce the number of roadside assistances they would have to do in a year!

Also they say members can receive up to 30% discounts on car rental and hotel accommodations throughout North America but they fail to give you that information also.

I had to call Road America to get all that information. They blamed the printer for not providing the information to the member . . good one!

Yes, I think it's hilarious that the card does not have a phone number on it! And I'm surprised you got any info at all about benefits as I called and got nothing. The guy even at Road America directed me to the web site and I immediately went there as we spoke on the phone. Of course there is nothing there! He could not even find anything on benefits. So I'll just call ever time I think it might help.

There are a number of savings - up to 30% on car rentals and hotels, etc. Last year on a ten day trip I saved over $250 on hotels by using the savings at Super 8 Motels. Certainly worth the $35 membership! By the way this year's corporate code for Wyndham (Super 8) is 60885 which gives you 20% discount.

Go to: www.road-america.com/savings/

This should bring you to the savings connection window. In the activation code should be the number 10999 already, if not type it in. Because you will be a new member you will need to click on go. That will bring you to a sign up window. Just follow the steps from there. Once you login you will be able to find the savings and codes for each of them. In that window there will be a drop down menu titled National Brands. Click on that and it will show you all that give discounts.
