I know that the Vision has a OEM electronic cruise control available. But the total cost for the unit and install will run just under $800.00. So being the miser that I am, I decided to do some looking around for cheaper options. One option I found that looks quite promising is this product. http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/brakeaway-products-motorcycle-cru...
can anyone tell me if they have used this on a Vision? Will this work on a Vision? Any help would be Greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!!

I have an idea for a very simple and much cheaper throttle control. It's called "Go Cruise" throttle control. Goggle the name and check it out. Get the one for the 7/8" handlebars.

I struggled with manual controls for 40 years. Living in BC means 99% of my riding is up and down hills/mountains and with manual control, the bike slows down - or speeds up on the hills. Damned frustrating. Gotta LOVE true cruise control - worth every penny - at least it is out west.

+1 just hit the PHD (Push Here Dummy) button and enjoy the ride it's fun waving at other riders using your right hand. Over the years and bikes I tried all sorts of after the fact add on throttle locks, most were pure crap or very cheesily designed and soon we parted company, once @ 65 MPH!
Check the Evil Bay or CRAIGSLIST and your local wrecked cycle parts place and see if you can score the real deal for a few less bucks.

A big O-ring rolled onto the grip and into the gap between the grip & the brake housing is what I used for a long time on several bikes-just enough friction to hold your speed but easy to roll back too, you have to tweak it to maintain speeds up/down hill but for less than $2 it gets it done & can barely be seen.

Johnny;

"Go Cruise" makes the 7/8 size that fit BMW's and Victory's. They make a 1 inch for the H-D handlebars.

I had a Vista-Cruise on my '05 Meanstreak. They work, but I'm like donetracey, they're really only good for flat riding. Hills and a lot of traffic and your constantly trying to set it or turn it off.
