Anyone running http://buywitchdoctors.com/p/1427/victory-motorcycle-parts-exhaust-... these pipes? How loud are they? No issues just switching pipes and not remapping? I heard the stage one isn't very impressive is this true? Does the flash add any power or fuel mileage?

I have these ppes. I live by Jon. These pipes are great sounding. I would take these over any pipe out there right now. I have had both sets o my bike. Matter a fact its my bike he used for the sound clip. I like the loudest set I can still hear my radio. LOL

I would do the thrush muffler up grades. The money everybody wants is just crazy for slip ons. If I had to do it again i would do Lloydz exhaust. At least the stuff hes sells there has been performance proven and just not louder.

I just ordered Thrush 24205 from Amazon - about $26/each. for my 2008 VV. Hope to get them installed some time next week. All reports from Thrush users have been positive re: sound they emit.

I heard those pipes at the SE rally. They sound REALLY good. According to Jon and all research on the net you will not need to do any other mods to make these work. They do cost more than the Rush mod, but I think they may be louder. I will be ordering mine very soon. As a side note Jon impressed me in the past with quick response to questions and I was impressed again when he stopped in mid conversation to answer more questions in person.

Well, I have about 6K on my original mufflers (they are rust free and in good shape). I worry about getting some old crap mufflers that they re-worked when I order his Vision muscle mufflers; and have to depart with a set of good ones.

How hard is it to put the thrush on and do you have to remap?

I did the Ness twin sucker kit and thrush mufflers it cut my fuel mileage until I got the stage 1 flash. Now the mileage is same or better than stock, love the sound, and Liandra lifted the front tire off the pavement without really trying once.

That was part of my reason to use his mufflers. I might pay a little more, but it's easier. Also, look for the mod on the stock tips that remove the black plate. I can't remember where I saw it at. I saw several last weekend that had that mod and I thought it looked better than the black center plate in the stock tip.

I got my pipes installed today and they sound amazing. They have a nice deep rumble at idle and when opening it up but riding down the highway at 70 I could barely hear them no problem listening to radio no drone. I went with the quieter ones because I ride to work and leave between 6-6:30 am. The louder pipes sound amazing they are loud but not obnoxiously loud like some of the harleys but they would definitely get attention. The name really fits because they sound a lot like a big block chevelle. I would recommend these pipes to anyone considering one of the other brands.

When I got to the shop I still had no idea which pipes I wanted so Jon said he would install the louder ones then I could go for a ride and if I didn't like them he'd take them off and install the quieter ones. Well I loved the sound of the louder ones but wasn't so sure the wife would or my neighborhood so early in the morning so Jon put the quieter ones on all for free. I also picked up a kickstand extender which Jon also installed for free talk about amazing service.

Has anyone compared this pipe to the other recored pipes, ie the Atom Bombs and Nascar 6. I like the fact that they all go back using the factory mounts and shields and I can use the Travelin Mans' rocket tips when he gets a chance to do another run. Granted they are $100.00 more, but do include the stainless steel shield straps, so are they really better are just the same old same old? Any body out there do a side by side sound check and if so were Jons' the loud or quiet version used? Just asking :-/

V92---- I will respond before someone says youtube it. I have heard Atom Bombs and Witchdocters Muscle pipes, though not side by side. The unbaffled WD pipes are some what louder I think. Not obnoxious though.
conn-e-rot----Did you replace the muffler gaskets as well?

Got D&D's installed. Not very loud, but GREAT sounding rumble, no pinging or popping and good HP gains. I know you didn't ask about these, I'm just sayin'.

I had an exhaust mod done at Coastal Victory a few weeks ago ( replaced my muffs with a set of gutted out ones ). I loved em while I was down there runnin around on short trips not goin too far. But the 5 hr. trip home was awefull , the drone had my ears ringing the rest of the day after I got home. Good thing Coastal is very easy to get along with ,2 weeks later they put my factory pipes back on and there was no charge .I also didnt like the way exhaust leaked around the tips after they were gutted. Guess Ill stick with the sewing machine sound. I havent heard anything that sounds better than my old roadstar with vance & hines longshots anyway.

When I was there last year they were gutting factory cans and installing "Thrush" type mufflers then welding them back up. Alot can change in a year, maybe they are doing something different now.
