Central Wisconsin

I'm trying to find out if either of these two half covers will fit the Vision?

I contacted both sellers and they did not know for sure.

Thomas,
I just bought the big ultra guard half cover and it works fine on the vision. I even had a friends wife sew in a re-enforce opening for my US flag on the trunk rack. you will need to put it over the rack/trunk top first then the front.

while were on the subject of covers, I purchased a travel-half cover from my local dealer. It looks and fits great, and even says vision on it. problem is its not waterproof. Is there an easy to use product to waterproof this cover?

A fabric/canvas/tent spray product should repel water.

I haven't used Aqua Armor but it sure looks good.

I have owned, and used, and travel with, - the cover designed for, and sold by - VICTORY - for 5 years. Is there something wrong that I should know about?

When I bought mine - they sold TWO types - one was a heavy rubber full cover - the other a light, waterproof cover - the one I bought.

I use that ALL the time, and when we tour - it is in the side bag - and ALWAYS used at night at whatever Hotel/Motel/Inn we are staying at.

Haven't you ASKED you dealer what's available?

Why re-invent the wheel?

Let us know Thomas how that works.

I too use the Vic model half cover while traveling and love it. Great cover. Super light and easy to cram in the saddlebag.

I have a SKNZ cover I use and love it! The material reminds me of a dry suit and fits nice and tight which means no flapping in the wind (scratching paint), repels water and is breatheable. I have the half cover which stretches to cover from the tour trunk to the tip of the front fender and also has loops to attach to the passenger pegs. The cover rolls up to easily fit in a saddle bag (I would guess rolled up it is about 8" in diameter and about a foot long).

Not if you don't mind over paying for everything.

No, I do see a $150 half cover available. Good to hear the cover is holding up well.

Your funny Don. If I had your kind of money, I could motorcycle all around British Columbia, pay full price for everything and keep everybody in business ;-)

COOL...looks like a GREAT product, first time I heard of a SKNZ Victory Vision Cover-Slade with Tour-Pak   I'm surprised they don't have an image of it on a Vision on their website.

Damn a 50% increase, then they wonder why they don't sell as many.

I sent them pictures last spring of my bike with the cover on but no idea why they didn't make it to the website.

I have the Vic half cover and love it. While it isn't waterproof, it is water resistant. I have never had any water on the seat. The only place it kind of came thru is on the top of the trunk and windshield. Not sure if it was rain or condensation...

Try a spray named 'CAMP DRY' made by COLEMAN, stinks like hell when it's wet but keeps my winter coats dry in snow, rain-

Check Nelson-Rigg for a half cover, I use their full cover for Winter and the old scoot stays nice and dry.

i just got this cover last week and it does NOT fit (correctly anyways).... it was funny to see this thread as i just called to ask about returning it, this cover is for a goldwing 1500/1800, IMO it just does not fit around the nose as it should?? i dont wanna force it around the nose and stretch the seams and more importantly have all that pressure on the windshield?? maybe yours is a lil looser?? other than that it is a great cover, i have one for my trailer and it has lasted a long time!!

I am happy with the Vision half cover. It is water proof for me. I sprayed it again with some tent waterproof spray. I tried to get a no brand fuller cover for the Vision and ended up getting the one from the dealer. It fits perfect and well worth the price!

Did you run the windshield all the way down first?

According to the vendor selling this product, the manufacturer states that this cover doesn't work with the VV. Here is a direct quote from Value Accessories

"We do not advertise these covers for the Vision, have not tried them on that bike and Big Bike Parts do not think that they will work."

That's odd that your cover does NOT fit. My cover and Gayle (Amibrau) who posted in reply # 133634 cover's fit. Are you sure you have the Ultragard (4-458BK) and not the (4-456BK) ?

No, windshield all the way up. Start cover on the back first, then pull cover over the front, finish pulling cover down on the rear and attach side hooks last.
