Mine is only 6 months old with about 3700 miles. I know I'm not a contender, are you?

My 2008 has 85,000 on it, but Varyder is pretty much untouchable right now. He has over 150,000 on his '08. And he got his about four months after I got mine. Chris? What's your actual mileage now?

I'm still chasing 100k. I'm getting pretty close @ 97802. I do know of at least 2 others besides Chris that have 100k or more on their '08s.

I just passed 40,000 on my '13 yesterday. My '13 Triumph Explorer has 24,000. Lots of riding this past year :-)

25000 on my 2008 Vision. I'm retiring in June so I'll have more time to get my mileage up.

you're rockin', Luke.  Excellent!!! I'd like to know the other two.  Mine are mostly commuter miles, with far too few trips.  At barely making 25,000 miles a year, I'm far from a master of miles.  I'd like to roll a long one this year back out west.  Maybe to Montana before the winter sets in.

Rollin', Your rides are most impressive especially the ride from Florida to Alaska. Would you be making these rides if you didn't have the Vision? Any tips on attempting a Saddle Sore or Butt Burner ride?

I have also done the IBA rides on a Vegas and a Kingpin. I did 3 IBA rides on the Vegas and 2 on the Kingpin.

The longest ride I have done was on a Kingpin and that was 11,907 miles in 16 days and that was during the 49 states in less than 10 days ride. I also completed a SS5000 during that trip, over 5000 miles in less than 5 days. The other ride on the Kingpin was a Lake Michigan 1000.

I completed a SS1000, a 1500 mile day and the 48 states in 10 days ride on the Vegas.

Tips - I could talk for hours on that subject. Let me know if you are planning one.

78,100 on my 08. 58K of that put on in the 23 months I have owned it. 30K a year average with 2 kids still in highschool and working 65-70 hours a week. Just wait until I retire. Chris Nelms is the Vision high mileage leader. oh by the way, i have never broken the original belt on the Vision, no mechanical issues, only replaced some burned out bulbs in all that mileage.

I am at 70,500 on my O8 that I bought in December of 2007. Changed the belt at 50,000 and didn't really need to. I do have a new starter and fuel pump that was installed around 60,000.

Rollin', You must not have any friends except for thevog.net. I'm guessing you're doing these rides solo? I'm having trouble trying to recruit anyone to do my(our) first Saddle Sore 1000. Since I'm in northern California, I'm thinking of riding during the daylight hours as much as possible and probably ride north to Oregon 500 miles to get some Voodoo Donuts and back. Any thoughts or suggestions on that? I know, crazy to do a 1000 mile donut run, and I'm not even a cop.

Look for a IBA sponsored ride for a SS1000 and get involved. The make the reciept thing very simple. That's how I got mine, and I only needed to present one reciept, the one at the turn around point.

What's wrong with that? Donuts sound like a perfectly good reason to ride an SS1000 I've done more miles for less.
