Yikes!  I got mine today but am waiting on new J&M speakers to arrive and do it all a once.  I have a huge trip planned in three weeks and can't afford for the bike to be down with delays so will monitor your situation very closely. 

Did your original mirrors get torn up?

Just got off the phone with Denise at Muth because the directions didn't jive with what I had in my package. 

Step 9 says "Ensure the cap sheets are removed from the existing 4 PSA (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive) tabs on the module."

Step 10 says "Using the additional PSA, adhere.............

I didn't get any additional PSA sheets in the package so I called.  Denise immediately knew what I was talking about and said that the person who packed our systems forgot to include the additional PSA and that they shipped it to all of us on the 31st.  I asked where the additional PSA should go and she advised reviewing the YouTube video of their Vision install.  Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWx7sDUICeM

Denise also mentioned the jeffmack incident and said it was an aligment issue that the tech was able to fix no problem.  Dry fit everything before you peel the backing off of the PSA. 

If anyone else has any info, pass it on.  Do not hesitate to call Muth if you have any questions at all.  They really want us to like their system.

Thanks for that update.  I was just about to go get some PSA on my own but decided to call Muth instead.  Glad yours was an easy fix. 

No need to call, they all shipped out on the 31st.  I got mine in the mail today.  4" circle of material. 

8:00 saturday morning........stand by for news........ 

Put mine in this morning.  They fit so perfect that they basically snapped in.  The cut-out drawn on the template was too small so I had to enlarge the hole to clear every edge of the LED module.  The fitment problem is with the LED module itself.  It is not trimmed to match the cut-out.  If they trimmed off the excess around the edge of the LEDs it would be perfect.  I got mine to fit but I had to Dremel right into the edge of the housing.  You can't trim the edge of the LED because it is already bonded to the glass and not worth the risk.  Very tight fit, right up to the edge.  The extra PSA is critical for a really good bond.  I soldered my wires (not a fan of the snap clips).

They look fantastic and the LEDs are actually angled so that they are brightest when viewed from the blind spot, not straight back.  The angle will also work better at night bacause you can definitely see the LEDs flashing but they are not distractingly bright from the seat.

I'm extremely happy with them but they really do need to trim the LED module better before they mount it on the glass.  Couldn't find a camera this morning to document the install but if anyone has any questions don't hesitate to ask.

There is no doubt on my mind that you can call Muth and arrange to have your mirrors shipped to them and they will make it right.  It sucks to go through the whole process yourself and not have it work out right, along with the time lost, but it is fixable.  Don't toss those mirrors or order new ones from the factory until Muth gets a chance to fix it for you. 

Mine were extremely tight and actually snapped into the housing during the dry fit.  I had to push the glass out by pressing on the LEDs from the back side in order to peel the backing off the tape for the real fit.  Now that they are in they look 100% stock, only waaaay cooler.

Here are a couple of lessons learned from my install:

- The mirrors are super easy to remove.  A black 10mm bolt on the back of the mirror (very camoflaged) and a silver Allen head screw on the top.  Jam a rag down in the space below the bolt so it won't fall in a black hole if you drop it.  Remove the bolt first.  The Allen head screw will be much easier to deal with while you hold the mirror just prior to taking it out.  As you pull the mirror out, notice the tab.  Don't forget to reset the mirror in this tab when you go to install.  You can forget about it and the mirror will bolt into place but it will not adjust properly.

- Removing the old glass.  I bought a Wagner dual temp heat gun from the paint section at Home Depot for $29.  There is a Milwaukee version in the tool section for $69.  The cheaper one gets plenty hot.  If you want to try and get the old glass out in one piece (I couldn't do it) you will need something extremely thin and flexible.  Maybe a slim-jim lock opener or something like that.  Plastic putty knives are too thick and metal ones are too stiff.

- Dremel - When cutting the hole, make sure there is absolutely no overhang on any part of the LEDs.  It might look like you have cleared the main part of the LEDs but there is a small bit of slop around the edges of them.  The problem is that this untrimmed part is thicker than the PSA material and if the backing plate is resting on any of the LED module it won't seat on the PSA perfectly.  The fit tolerance is so tight that even 1/16th of an inch of extra trimming is unnerving because it goes right up to the very edge of the backing plate.  Mine fit but I was trimming like a surgeon near the end.

- Wiring - If you have time to order (or know where to find) Posi-Locks I would use them.  http://www.posi-lock.com/posiplug.html  They are super easy to use and a fantastic product.  I don't like the snap clips that come with the mirrors and couldn't find any Posi-Locks in my town so I just soldered the wires.  Had I not been in such a hurry for the install I would have ordered some. 

This was like ordering an '08 Vision.  It had never been done before and there are lessons to be learned but it is a great company to deal with and worth any hassles I may have encountered.  You will forget all about the pain once they are installed.  I used to give about 3 flashes of the blinkers for a lane change but now do 5 or more just because it looks so cool.
