Let's hear your serious ideas on features for future Visions. Victory DOES read this forum.

Despite all the cool, useful gadgetry that the bike has, we need to keep out eyes up on the road and not on the console and handgrip controls. I suggest some type of readout that is projected on the windshield that gives a status report on all the functions (ie., speed, gear, radio info, cruise control, etc.).

a HUD would be cool. The problem might be seeing it with polarized sunglasses. I would like to see built in FRS bluetooth support. We ride in groupd that use chatterboxes the family radio service bands (like motorola talkabouts) ... I want to be able to wear a bluetooth headset with no attaching cords and be able to talk bike to bike.

No one in our group uses CB radios so that's not really an option.

I would like to see the following features on the Vision:
• rear air shock have on fly adjustment (build in air compressor) with the pressure readout on the dash
• A Stock, wired at the factory, intercom system that incorporates bluetooth
• get rid of the gray parts, either paint it to match the bike or chrome it
• Ignition like that on the newer Kawasaki Nomads, put in key turn on ignition, start bike and remove key. Once turned off the ignition is locked again and requires the key
• Electronic tire pressure read out on the dash

A kick stand that won't allow the bike to roll forward.
Besides the passenger floor boards, have an optional adjusting foot pegs for the passenger. This would allow the passenger to change foot position forward and aft and would raise feet heights.
I personally don't like the mirrors, so I would like better mirrors. I see too much of my hands and less of what is right behind me.
Optional drivers backrest, and make it similiar to the passenger backrest, curved.
ABS
Run and brake lights on trunk
Compass

Someone to work for me, give me the money so I could ride more!!

* Keyless ignition, my 08 Harley has this and I find it usefull.
* Bluetooth capability built in.
* Easier to deploy kick stand.
* Tire pressure monitor.

Here is my 2 cents:

- ABS brakes

- Move rear tip over protection further back

- Optional matching driver's backrest for stock heated seats

- Move driver's heated seat control up front

- Move driving light and heated grip control closer to driver

- More storage in side bags and top trunk (less wasted space for side bag hinges)

- STT lights in the top trunk

- Xenon HID Hi/Low beams with matching reflector

- Stereo (not mono) Bluetooth support

- Backlighted buttons and switches

- Keyless ignition (existing key location causes keychain to mark up console)

- Harder clear coat that doesn't scratch so easily.

- Easier connection for passenger's headset. It is really difficult to get the keyed plug in the socket that is pointing downwards.

- Stronger amplifier in stereo.

- Better AM/FM antenna reception.

- Better rear view mirrors with blind spot support and turn signals.

- Trailer hitch.

- Windshields without the distortions.

- Adjustable shark gills in fairing for increased engine cooling.

Higher Quality Windshield that is not Polarized
Helmet Lock
Rain cover for the seat that's concealed in backrest (like the Goldwing). Also make it where it will cover the console
Tool-less quick release for the GPS
Reverse Gear
Easier, possibly Tool-less trunk removal system
More adjustments (higher and lower) for the standard electric windshield
Adjustable Handlebars
More powerful amplifier and better speakers for the audio system
Side bags deep enough to hold a helmet
Better FM Antenna
Wind vents in windshield/fairing
Turn signals on Trunk
Remove the chrome Victory piece from the trunk and replace with a strobing brake light
Keyless ignition
Better/Larger thumb controls
Illuminated Thumb Controls (only cruise is illuminated)
Turn signals in mirrors
Tire Pressure Readout

And, from my blog:

I found something that Victory missed...

Yes, believe it or not Victory forgot something that is so blatant and obvious, yet so obscure that other riders probably haven't noticed that it was missing. Here goes:

On the left hand grip, there is a small button that is designed to be pressed the the index finger. It is placed so well that it is one of the few buttons that can be pressed without the hand leaving the grip (I have small hands). A press of this button scrolls through various information features on the display such as trip computer, miles until empty, instant MPG, odometer, etc.

What they missed is there is an equal space on the right grip that is unused. I would have loved it if they would have used this empty space for the volume control or for changing the audio inputs. Yes, these features are located below the left grip, but having a rocker-type switch on the right index finger would mean that you don't have to change hand positions to access. Yes, this is picky and after seven days of riding the Vision, I have been spoiled and continue to have great expectations of this bike.

Wow, with ½ of those mentioned, it would be the most awesome bike every made. (o:

In all seriousness though, helmet locks. I come from the helmet & jacket wearing jap
side of cruisers. I think, and could be wrong, that there is an American "too cool for
helmets" crowd out there, and Victory must be part of it.

4,000 mile minimum between services too. I about cr@pped when I saw 2,500 in my owners
manual. My dealership charges about $250.00 a service, so that is 10 cents a miles. OUCH!

Lighted handlebar instruments, as mentioned prior.

The weak clear coat drives me nuts. And the need for mirrors to see BEHIND me, and not at my gloved, ape-like hands. Rocket launcher would be nice...http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v240/metalguy/IMG_0394.jpg maybe a nice darker colored console? It sure reduces the glare in the windshield!-----Metalguy

Keyless Security – If you do not have the security device on you, the Vision will not start.

Keyless Ignition – See Above – If I have the device why have a key?

Built in Air Compressor for rear shock adjustment and for tire inflation.

Stereo Bluetooth to helmet plus intercom function.

FRS Radio not CB – Shorter range but no need for an antenna on the trunk

Better visibility with trunk – Tail, Turn and Stop lights on trunk

Driver's backrest

Please fix the soft clearcoat issue. Can't touch the paint without scratching it. How do you close the bags without touching the paint?
Clear windshield
Move heated seat controls
Move HID light control
Turn signal and brake light functions on the trunk
Stereo antenna that works better
Better speakers
Kickstand that I can find in the "up" posistion
Move the rear tip over points back a few inches
loose the grey paint! Paint the parts the color of the bike or chrome. Handles and rear tip over points stand out worse when I buy the chrome pcs for the rest of the bike.

One more item ...  until next senior moment ... =)

Some nice solution to prevent toe skuffing underneath and in front of the shift lever.  Maybe a nice curved chrome plate with rubber standoffs to prevent scratching.

Leave the dents out of the saddle bags- they don't add anything to the cool looks it already has! - and - my top 5 of what has been posted -

1) Harder clearcoat
2) Top four console buttons repositioned (grip heat etc)
3)Wireless ignition
4) Rearview mirror fix
5)Stronger Speakers

Navigation, C.B built into console not add on. power outlets built into console, heated passenger backrest. a heads up display would be cutting edge, 8 gallon gas tank should seriously be considered. all buttons and controls should be backlit.

Landing gear that come down at 1mph. I'm older, lazier, fat, and I have short legs, hey!

What everyone else says.
But, I have to highlight finding the kickstand just sucks!

I wear full helmet and sometimes I have to take it off first so I can find the flippin kickstand.

Another opportunity for an enterprising Victory accessory designer, fellow rider who is a machinist, or aftermarket accessory seller; a kickstand which protrudes farther out from under the primary case, or some sort of extension for the existing kickstand. It is a problem that warrants solving.

Hmmm. Like an extension to the knob on the end? I just happen to "know" a machinist who can make that happen! -----Metalguy

1. Nicer sounding exhaust option
2. Better mirrors
3. More chrome - less gray paint
4. Driver backrest
5. More room in hardbags

These are in no particular order..........
