The Vision is by far one of the best bikes i have ever owned or riden for that matter. Its hard to add to perfection in my eyes.

I have had alot of people tell me they do not like the trunk. I guess most are use to their old Harleys with the easy removable trunk. Would people be interested in a square removeable trunk??

Also i have had alot ask why not make a single rider seat?? Is this something that alot are demanding ?? and why?

I would like to hear your thoughts on what it is you would want to change. Please be reasonable.

Thanks Mike

I only wish I had the resources to do a lot of things that I would like to do to the Vision. The first and foremost would be make a solo seat rider. This is something I have thought about since the day I got it. I have a lot of ideas on how to do this, but the end result is to make the pillon area a mini-trunk, matching the lines of the Vision as a Steet edition. The trick of this whole sit-up is that it does not affect the overall configuration, going from Tour, to Steet, to Solo at anytime.

Sometimes my imagination runs away with me.

i would never get rid of my custom looking trunk to have a square HD style trunk! interesting HD people say they love my trunk when i show then you can ALSO store stuff into the bottom of the trunk as well. plus the power port and light.

More storage in the bags would be nice.

Change.... nothing to the trunk area of the bike, I ride my Vision because it is different and not like everyone else. I also ride it because it drives my friends up the wall because I get all of the compliments and question from everyone who walks up to us when we are out. The only change I can think of that would make it better is to put remote controlled mirrors on it. There is enough room behind the mirrors for a small motor which would still keep the bike so far ahead of the other bikes it would be unreal.

Everyone have a wonderful holiday season.

The option of Kuyakyn Iso style heated grips. I find the grips on the Vision to be very thin in diameter, but have gotten used to them in the past two years...also an after market stereo system with a higher output wattage.

I would prefer larger saddle bags. Other than that the bike is great.

The things I would like are:

Remote control lock and unlock for the side bags and trunk.
Reduced pull of the clutch. Why put a hydraulic clutch on the Vision and make the pull equal to that of a cabled clutch?

Here is what others might want.

Wiring Harness "No Cut Mod" and output jack.
A "Plug and Go" mod that could plug into the main wiring harness where the Center Brake Light mod is done that would let you do the center brake mod without touching the harness.

It could also have a jack on it with Left Turn, Right Turn, Brake and Ground outputs to make trailer lights or the "4710 Trunk Light mod" work as a plug and go mod. These could be buffered outputs to protect the Vision's Primary harness.

For the GPS users.
Adapter plug for the "GPS Connector" that would output 12 Volts and input the GPS audio to the sound system. (most likely a stereo 1/8 inch jack where both left and right are connected to mono to feed the Vision).

Thanks for asking...keep up the good work!

I saw a Vision with a trunk from a Victory Cross bike. The Cross trunk is a bit more squarish compared to the Vision. I thought it looked out of place. It really upset the style of the Vision. The stock Vision trunk blends really well with the rest of the bike. It doesn't look like a quick release square box after thought.

Changes:
-Stereo: The functionality is great, but the sound quality is less than desirable. Even with upgraded amp and speakers it still is lacking clarity and fequency range.
-Larger saddle bags
-Adjustable height passenger floorboards
-Get rid of the spring clip nuts and mold real nuts into the plastic.
-Lower deflectors should be stock, but completely removable for those that want the sleeker look. Kind of like removing the trunk and putting the color matching blanking plate in its place.
-Some way to see the console switches at night.
-Easy access air filter.
-Something more decorative than that stamped sheet metal license plate holder. Such a beautiful bike with a piece of tin hanging off the back. That is the first thing I upgraded.
-A windshield without the cutouts to keep the wind off my hands in the winter. (I realize this would require redesign of the dash so the windshield would still go up and down).

Other than that, the Vision is perfect.

It may not be popular any more, but I would like to see a cigarette lighter, and of course larger saddle bags. But, it is the best bike on the rode.

Illuminated switches on the console, integrated trunk lights with the brake/turn signals. Remote key lock, louder horn, mirrors with a built in magnifier spot mirror in the upper corner to reveal what is right behind the bike, turn signal LED's in the mirrors. More bass response without distortion on the speakers. Better reception range for FM/AM, perhaps an angled antenna mounted on the top of the trunk to increase the range. A HUD display for warning lights/ compass heading. Just a few thoughts, other wise she's a great bike.

Like RadioTeacher, I think central locking with remote would be great (ideally would incorporate an 2-way alarm like the Scorpio system). Couple that to an integrated TPMS system, harder (less wearable) kickstand pad and on-the-fly adjustable rear suspension, and I think it would be more than perfect!

I'd like highway pegs. I'd also like more power outlets in the cockpit.

Hey Mike,

You know what I'm waiting for: saddlebag lowers and a solo seat. We all love our visions for different reasons but I think we all can agree that the bike looks different from anything out on the market. Individuality is king and our quest to be unique is what makes some of us tick. Yea my VV 8 Ball is a freak to most HD riders but why stop there. Give me more!!!

When can we expect the saddlebag lowers??? Gotta have em by Spring.

Hey Mike, I love your site and some of the things you have developed for the Vision. The one thing I would love to see is some sort of passenger floorboard extenders (highway pegs for the passenger). I have a ton of space to reposition my feet and legs, but the spousal unit is limited to small adjustments. I would think something like this would be fairly simple, but my simple mind can't come up with a solution.

Something with the same sort of functionality as the kuryakyn passenger pegs for the E-glides/roadkings

http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go/Home.ProductDetail/catID/10/sc...

Oh yeah, and an adjustable passenger back cushion for the tour pack ; maybe something incorporating a couple of air bladders and a squeeze bulb / pump to change the angle of the seat back and add a little lumbar support.

That is a great idea... we are considering making a few mods in this area. Right now we are working on full lowers and the ape handlebars.

There is a big enough demand for lowers... so we are in the process of mocking up for them. I will post pics of the progress over the holidays. If all goes well should be available in Feb.
We fully intend to take the Vision to the next level in the visionary department.
As for the solo seat... this is a little more work.. I would need to find atleast 6 customers that would want to buy this mod. in order to put the time that it requires to design the parts.

I will give it some thought and see how complex this will be to produce. Im sure the second rider would appreciate having some adjustment in the comfort area.
