HMD has made a set of apes for the vision. These are raw and are still in mock up stage. They will be available in silver, black , and chrome. These bars are 16" apes. You can still use your factory wires and cables. The bars are 33" tip to tip. They have a 13" pull back. They also sit about 14" off the front body panels.

Ridiculous!! Totally ruins the look of a Vision. Of course I don't like ape hangers on any bikes. JMHO

While I personally don't like the idea of ape style bars, especially on a Vision I am glad that we have an aftermarket supplier willing to step up and manufacture and sell parts for the Vision. Even if a particular part isn't everyone's cup-o-tea.....at least they are stepping up.

To narrow you need them wider so you have control. Now you will have to use all your strength at slow speeds.
Mike what ever happened to that heat control idea you guys were working on?

I don't like it... but that is my option. If you like it then have fun with it- hope to see it in person some day.

First of all, kudos to Mike for continuing to produce aftermarket products for the Vision!

Now on to my personal feelings. While they are not comfortable to me, I like apes on some bikes (aesthetically and to a point). But whether or not you like apes, I just cannot understand why anyone would buy a bike with a fairing, then put apes on it that place your hands back into the wind. But that's just my opinion.

Nice job on the bars. I do think they will be uncomfortable for taller riders though. I will try and repost a picture of the bars I had made for my vision. and measurement specs. I love the apes on mine and would not ride it anyother way.

Have been working on it with my machinest.,... we made it out of a different material. also easier to install as well. I am just waiting for a little hotter day so i can do testing and shoot the video. Its not far away.

As for wider.. i dont like the look of a wider bar. no matter what speed your at with any ape...its going to be a different feel from stock. These bars are actuall very comfortable ... nice reach.

the vision has redefined how a motorcycle is done. If you see a touring bike, good for you, if you see the ultimate cruiser, good for you. It converts from tour to street, it can be lowered, it can tow with ease, you can pump it up or keep it stock or a little in between. Apes in the repertoire of accessories makes the Vision the ultimate bike. JMHO!

I think it's great you're making things for the Vision and if I had two of them I would make one all bad ass and "chopped" up. Those bars would be part of it for sure!

Oh and I', also looking forward to your heat control thing...

Thanks for giving the Vision some love!!!

HMD520----I like what your doing. While apes aren't for me (I'm too short) I do like the looks. Like some one else said if I could afford two Visions....... Please dont stop what your doing!

Personally, I like them alot. I am not looking for curb appeal, but function. I am 6'6 with 38 inch arms, so its a must if I want to be comfortable.. I would like to see them and test them out if I can. Send me them or I will buy them, but send them back if they don't work for me..

Looks like you could actually use the mirrors with these bars, keep it coming Mike.
