I've logged 10.2k on my vision since Oct '10 but I have two touring bikes and I like to ride the other one on occasion.

10-15K PER YEAR.  Ride daily to work.  Weekends and out of state as often as I can.

I've averaged about 7,500 a year on the Vision so far.
Living in Central Va., I commute as often as possible, and get to enjoy the mountains 5-6 times a year
along with at least 1 to 2, trips of a week or more per year.

Had my '99 from April '01 to Nov. '07 and put about 35,000 on it, before trading...

Want to ride more, but too many extraneous distractions keep me down to around 6,000. Also, it rains a lot up here. I'm not scared of rain riding, obviously, but I do get tired of washing the bike...

I average about 17,000 a year. I have 51,000 on my 08 and I've had it four years (one of those don't count, as you don't get to ride much in the Middle East when you're there courtesy of Uncle Sam). It's my daily transportation - about 160 miles per week riding back and forth from work, and about 600 most weekends. Of course, it helps to be able to ride year-round in Alabama and Georgia.

Between 15K - 20K per year. I use mine for daily commuting, weekend trips, and out of state trips. The only time I drive my truck is when it just isn't practical to ride the bike. Plan to go on a 6,000 mile cross country trip next year with friends from Flowery Branch, GA and NC. The surgery this year and new hobby cut me back on mileage.

What an incredible bike!! I have over 74,000 miles on my 2008 Vision I bought March 1st, 2008. I would have had over 7,000 more miles on it by now if I wouldn't have had my wreck back in September 2009. I was hoping to average 30,000 miles a year but have fallen short so far.

I've had my vision for just over one month, and I've already put 1,000 miles on it. Coming from the little sportster for so many years the vision feels like cheating.

Over the last 20 years my average has been 1000 miles a month and the the Vision I have is holding true to that-21 months old with 22,000 miles. I have my 99 V92C with about 40K on it (lightly used now) & traded in my 03 V92TC with 72K on her. I have never ridden one mile because I have to for a long time-I have the company cruiser & gas card for work, so every motorcycle mile I've ridden in the last twenty years or so were purely frivolous- the best kind -Brian

My average is 9000 miles/yr. However, I have never looked at milage alone as a means to measure my riding. What is equally important to me is saddle time. I want to be on the bike as often as possible.

My 9000 mi/yr includes very little interstate. My average speed according the readout stays around 40mph. Most of my time is spent on county roads because I don't find interstate appealing (just my personal preference). The good stuff is off the beaten path. I have the option of interstate or back roads to work. Both are same distance, but the back roads take longer due to the slower speed. On weekend rides I always opt for state roads.

If I road for the same amount of time on the interstate at 70mph as I have secondary roads, I calculate I would have 6k more miles per year which equates to almost 20k more miles I would have since I purchased the Vision.

To get an acurrate measurment of my riding I take both miles and type of riding into account. I ride at least 6 hrs/week almost year round. Since these six hours are slower speeds my miles per year is low. When someone says, "I road 400 miles Saturday", I always ask, "what route ya take". Interstate can be done in 6 hrs with only 2 gas stops. Less traveled routs can stretch the ride to 8, 10, 12hrs of actual ride time. That's where the fun comes in because I am going to see things I have not seen before, stop for lunch and dinner, and meet new people in the process. Whereas interstates, well, I have been as far as all the local ones go in either direction...nothing new to see there. So, miles don't really tell the whole story. Average speed needs to taken into account via the chosen route.

I prefer the back roads because they have the twisties, scenic views, and less congestion. At the same time it keeps my milage down for resale even though the motor has ran for much longer time than highway bikes.

I would like to see a non-resetable hour meter on the Vision.

Not sure exactly....probably around 15k between the two bikes. Good news, I can commute on it....bad news, my commute is only 3 miles. But living on the Alabama Gulf Coast I enjoy riding season year round...and since I set my own hours I can get away for a joy ride just about any time I want.

I've only had my VV since May of this year, but will have 10k miles by the end of this month. Going by that logic, I should have 15-20k by May of next year as she's my main transport to work. I also can ride pretty much year round here (and I do) so that estimate should be good. I would probably have more miles on her but this summer was too bloody hot most of the day.

Calgary, AB,
Voted 5-10000 but it's close to about 6000 miles this year, in part due to the fact I'm in Calgary, AB, otherwise I'd be over 10K for sure.
Cold weather is not so much an issue, it's the damn snow. I was out Nov6th, it was 28F out but no big deal on the VV. Pretty nice riding in fact.

I have had Pearl for just over 1 month and have put 2800 miles on her so far. I bought her on Sep 27 2011 and put 875 miles on her that first weekend. It's still warm enough to ride now but I am having problems with my back and legs or I would be on her now instead of writting this.
I had a 04 Kawi nomad that I traded in on the Vision that I averaged about 25,000 miles a year on and I'm hoping to put even more on my Vic as the ride is just so much better.

Have only had it just short of a month and am at just under 1000 miles. Alas, it is November in Michigan so she will be put to bed for the winter shortly. Break out the snowmobiles!!!

Great point, I agree! We also avoid the slab like the plague.
I know a guy that zooms around in the flat desert at 100 mph in a straight line. Give me the twisties in the hills and mountains any day.

it's all what you have to live with, each has its appeal. I enjoy taking the backroads any chance I get, but if it means spending a lot less time with loved ones, then rolling the interstate is the way to go.

26,000 on my '08 in 3 1/2 years of riding it. Work and family obligations keep me from riding more. The bike gets used for weekend getaways and one good trip each year. I put on about 140,000 miles a year on the job (truck driver). We hope to put some real miles on the bike when I retire in a couple of years.

Located out in the boonies near Jasper, Missouri. It's 2 miles to the nearest paved road.
