mkultra - 2010-11-29 12:31 PM The option of Kuyakyn Iso style heated grips. I find the grips on the Vision to be very thin in diameter, but have gotten used to them in the past two years...also an after market stereo system with a higher output wattage. mike

This is the biggest response for upgrade. It would take away from the clean lines if they made it bigger. Maybe if they would have made the opening ( the hole ) different. Maybe went all the way down, instead of leaving the 4" lip, it would not seem so small.

How about a quality drink holder that could mount off the left accessory mirror slot?

I'd love to be able to get the lower bags off to clean and service the rear wheel. I'd also strongly suggest a built in garage door opener with a big, fat button on the console. Better sound is always a winner. Full duplex bluetooth intercom and stereo music (which no-one has accomplished effectively yet). Better airflow control at the feet without the lower deflectors (I'm dreaming here). Trunk removal as easy as it is accomplished on the Cross Country. Better stock brake pads. ABS stock on all Visions. Put a helmet lock below the trunk (similar to the Goldwing) so you can still fill the trunk on trips but lock your helmet when you stop to eat . Maybe add a compass reading on the digital dispay on the console. Go ahead and stick the radio antenna on the trunk 'cause the other isn't working very well.

We have a bunch of new small accessories to add. This is one of them. The cup holder will mount on rt or left and comes in silver, black, and chrome.

The Vision is a great bike, but with some help could be even better. I applaud you Mike for working to bring new products to the market for the rest of us. As far as my wish list is concerned, much of it has already been stated here, and while some of these things are likely within your ability to develop, others may be left to Victory (and good luck with that!).

Anyway, here are my major items:

? Bright LED Brake and Turn Lights for the Trunk and Mirrors.
? MUCH louder horn.
? Illuminated Dash Switches.
? Larger Saddle Bags.
? Redesigned Instrument Cluster to include all instrumentation including GPS (GPS not mounted on the Dash!) and iPod readout (similar to the BMW....car, not bike). Perhaps all digital.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents on the subject. Best of luck!

Hi, I can help as far as the helmet holder problem: There is a product called Helmet Guardian. I installed this on my 09 vision tour. I drilled 2 holes in the upper license bracket and it installs with tamper proof screws and nuts. IM going to try to post a pic but if it doesnt work and anyone want to se it just let me know and I will e-mail it to you. This works great=looks great and works even better with the helmet lock extentions.

For info on it got to Dual Sport Touring type in helmet guardian and a pic should show up. This product is made in Tennesee.

Thanks for the compliment.... we try to come out with innovative cool custom stuff. Although we would like to ... we can not answer everyones christmas list this year.
We are designing some new cool stuff... most of it should be available to view the week of christmas on the website. Production and availability might take a little bit longer. thanks fo the feed back

In addition to lighted switches, how about taking that right blank switch and making it a simple install for a garage door opener???

Simple enough to do... all you need is a small remote, and fab some bracketry under the panel. Hook a rocker switch that will activate the switch. Its a can do item... but this is the first request for this i have ever had.

Your not dreaming about ( better airflow control at the feet, without lower deflectors) . this is what my "DIVERTER" does. It redirects the hot air away from you legs. It will be available soon... real soon. You can check on the website for when we will be ready to ship. www.hmd520.com

Beleve it or not you just about described the "AIR RIDE" that we provide. I know people think??? air ride. Its not for me. Its totally adjustable in height. Contains a seperate switch for a hydrolic adjustment for damping.
Does not bounce like the cheap set ups.
The hydrolic adjustment lets you set the tension. Most high end cars run on this same design... air with hydrolic.

I just completed the lowering of the front and rear suspension 1.00 inch on my 08 vision. I also added the 2.0 inch drop seat from Heavy Metal Designz. It was a huge improvement from the stock height of the bike. Since I am 5'5" the lower height makes a tremendous difference when pulling up to a stop sign/light. I now can get my feet completely flat with room to spare. The suspension lowering parts also came from HMD. I have not been able to ride much with the weather here in the midwest but I have not noticed any difference in the handling of the bike.

HMD,
concerning the air ride you sell, does it have a single O-ring seal on the piston?

Make the instrument cluster more vertical and delete the chrome surround on the instrument housing, it's a PITA ( and dangerous too) to be riding on a sunny day with the sun behind you and that chrome flashing in your face off those little triangles or having the sun reflecting off the speedo and tach lenses and right in your plane of vision.
Have provisions for another, higher set of road pegs, reroute the battery plug up off the floor (I know it's been demonstrated where to tap in, I'm just thinking as a convenience for new owners). Make the glove box more accessable with the bike stopped and the bars kicked over to the left.
And, my #! bitch point, fix the crossover line (or the vent system) between tank halves so you don't have to nurse the last gallon or so into the tank! Everyone else is ready to go, and there you are, spoon feeding the last of your fuel in a shot glass full @ a time.
