Got to admit, I like the Sporty dirt bike! Anybody good with photoshop who can cyber-mod a Vision into an adventure scoot? Maybe BMW should be nervous LOL!

I have to believe that there are at least a few sketches of one in the works at the Victory design studio. Cruisers are not dead by any means, but the "adventure" bike style really seems to be taking a good bit of market share lately.

Seems like it would be a natural fusion between the Polaris quads and Vision road bikes.

did the tinted tail lights on the bike and took a little ride to day, what a great Christmas

I think next up is to paint the chrome dash black?

Then maybe go after the wind deflectors

Like the bike. Very nice advertising on the side (or whatever it's called).

one thing you might consider that I though would go well with what you have so far, is some sort of etching into the clear windshield and side deflectors. I know they have kits where you can etch whatever design you want, and I bet somewhere you can find it for the plastic wind deflectors. I think it'd be a nice subtle touch that people will see your bike, want to come closer to look at it, and THEN notice the etching. Don't know if the rider association you belong to has a symbol, but that'd be pretty cool in the wind deflectors.

I agree 100% with the statement below.

QUOTE]willtill - 2011-12-15 2:29 PM

I like that black Vision; but I will be the first to say it (and others not so quite bold will agree).... you just fucked it up with all of those decals. You have a Vision. It carry's it's own message. You don't have to thrust your religious orientation into everyone's faces on the road. We all make our own paths, and find our way to Nirvana.

You've turned your bike into an advertisement board. What's wrong with you?

The vinyl lettering on the side is, well; tolerable... but the "Jesus is King" crap on the front windshield cowling is a bit dramatic and overboard. Tone that down a little. Better yet, remove it.

Just my humble opinion. Definitely; enjoy your new bike!

the masking is off and the part will sleep tonight and be installed tomorrow. should be cured out by lunch time. I masked off the smooth chrome sections as I think it will be a nice accent around the instruments. The background should have been painted at the factory.

I think it will improve the looks from stock.

What kind of paint did you use for the instrument panel?
I tried a paint that is specifically made for painting plastic and the stuff flaked off with my fingernail. I scrubbed it all off and want to try again, this time with better/proper paint.
Thanks, Ron

I used bull dog adhesion promoter and then a protective enamel. You have to sand it down to where the is no shinny parts to it. then clean with dish washing soap and make sure all the area to be painted is dull. It should stick then. You can also use aerosol model paint it adheres well to plastic

looks a lot better in my opinion

before

after

I applaud your testimony of your faith my friend. All of us on 2 wheels could use a little bit of faith and protection surrounding us as we ride through a word full of cages. I too ride with the conviction of my faith. It doesn't matter how many critics you have throwing insults at you... if only one lost soul sees your message and finds salvation. I will ride beside you and take all the insults they can throw.
God Bless

I don't give a flip what you consider opinion and disrespect. And I don't give a flying flip about kowtowing to the CMA, and their beliefs. Wesley posts his graphics work on his new bike in a public forum, he's going to get opinions on it.

Your veiled threat in your first sentence; is the prime example of religious hypocrisy. It's either the religious zealots way, or no way. Religion is the root of all evil; the most common denominator of war since recorded human conflict; and mankind continues to perpetuates it.

Don't mean to hijack this thread and have tried to stay out of it. Wayne's post brought me out of the woodwork on this one. Sorry fella's

JW - It looks good on how you blacked out the bezel back. Never thought of model paint, I might do that to mine just to make things different. Thanks for sharing.

Boy I like the instrument bezel treatment, I'll do that on my next Vision project. Keep the faith! Remember we are only here in a blink of the eye, better to be a fool for Christ! Best bumper sticker seen recently says GOD in very large letters, when you get close enough to it you see "Get Obama Defeated!"

I've had it on the dyno and I'm happy with the numbers 95hp and 115 tq. I have over 100 ftlbs at 2500 and I keep that through 5000 rpms. She's running good.

willtill----I hope for your sake that you don't ever voice your opinion in such a disrespectful manner in front of a "club member". Voicing your opinion is fine, direspect is not.
JohnWesley---I like the all black tour. I am biased though. You keep doing YOUR thing and spreading your message.

It was disrespectful, he was just showing off his bike and what he did with it. He was not shoving any message in your face. All you had to do was say "I dont care for it" and move on. Instead you went on a rant showing yourself to be the one being hypocritical. You did what you accused him of doing. You need to figure out what scares you so much about a sticker. Leave your baggage at the log in. You did not try to stay out of it, you started it. Funny how in your posts its always someone elses fault. Take responsibility for your actions.
Thats my 2 cents.

OP, bike looks great! Black is awesome!

Kinda late on this thread. For those like myself with limited paint skills you can buy the black bezel from your local Victory dealer for $35. I was shocked at the price. A black bezel changes the look if you are blacking out your bike. Plus if you tried to paint your bezel already and discovered your not a painter your quick fix is $35 plus tax.
