on the edge of Los Angeles | I have just gotten my bike back from the dealer who did a great job of fixing the issues that I had when I purchased my Vision. The Stator that is part of the charging system was one that did not play well after leaving the assembly line. Now that its new I show aprox 14.5 volts charging as I cruise down the road. I would consider this normal and also consider it a refernce point for all who pay attention to that guage. The one unfortunate issue was I had to wait 3 weeks for this to come in from the Factory. ( Probably not a real popular / needed stocking replacement part) Either way while in the shop I got my 500 mile service Right rear plastic cover and a couple of other plastics replaces that were not perfect. ( All done without question) I have to say on my check out run to the " Rock Store" in the Malibu hills this afternoon all went real good and I am very happy to say I love ridding my Vision. |

So Cal | Havent been to the Rock Store in ages. Last time I was there Jay Leno showedup with that tubine power thing. Smelled like an airport. Thought I was gonna hurl from the fumes (no, it wasnt the beer). |

on the edge of Los Angeles | That was some time back. I remember going south bound on the 101 thru Van Nuys in a car way back when and I was hearing the jet sound coming thru the lanes. I did not think too much about it cause its in the normal flight path to Burbank Airport. All of a sudden this futuristic bike passes us and then it was like we were out on the airfiled getting the jet wash. The emotion that I felt about that bike was almost the same as when I saw the Vision for the first time. Different ! |

So Cal | Yeah! thats the one. Got nuthin bad to say about Jay. Definately a car/motorcycle nut. Have run into him many times over the years at car shows and bike shows/runs in the area. Always has time to talk shop. Alway by himself, doesnt need HIS people around him. I live near Burbank airport(walking distance) and always see him driving his collection. You can tell he doesnt do it because he can, but because he truley loves it. |
