To be fair the red wires I got from the Victory on line catalouge have been on for a year and 13,000 miles. No problems and they still look great, no fading of the red color............

Prices vary depending on what you order - they have sets but you can also custom pick each type of end, the conductor, the length etc. I used a set on an S&S 124 - very nice wires, high silicone content, thick, well made boots. I think I paid $35 and had them in a few days.

I did the Accell replacement plug wires from Noemtz Designs as an attempt to lessen static in the AM radio. Yellow wires with red tips for $34. Took minutes to install and working great, and even reduced the radio static about 60%.

Give him a call. He'll make it right. I called him up once and he called me a dickhead (seriously... he does lack customer skills); but eventually what we were quibbling about worked out.

So no hard feelings here... I have ordered stuff from him since.

Just for the coolness factor varyder. I must say though... I did also replace my spark plugs; along with the new wires... and it did idle better. I'm -NOT- kidding.

Does anyone know why the different OHM's on 2010's verses the 2009's, My 2009 front wire went bad with a 9000 ohm reading? My which doctors wires are in the 450 ohm area.

The reason I ask is because mine NEED to be replaced, they are very badly corroded after only 14,600 miles and two years of riding. The bike is always garaged, probably spent the night out in the rain maybe twice on a trips. Everybody check both ends, yours could be too..........

*********

As someone searching for a new vision, the above concerns me. Most everyone who has a Vision, and a Victory in General, seems happy with their bike. I know forums are hit or miss, but........

Seems like at 15k miles, wires shouldn't be corroded, or even need to be replaced.

So am I over concerned?

well, i ended up making my own after failed attempts of purchase plug wires labeled for the victory vision... I purchase Ford wires. cut them shorter and installed the victory end cap (the part that goes on the actual spark plug) I was able to purchase 6 ford spart plug wires for $30.. they are the same if not thicker than Victory wires. ... and i dont know if my wires were "bad" for a long time or not.. but when i installed these home made wires.. WOW .. this is the way my bike should have been..... now i have 4 extra wires that i am going to purchase end caps for from NGK and make a few more sets of vision wires... might have a back up set.. just because i dont want to waste the rest of the wires...

Had a semiliar experience. Thought I had a bad plug wire. So I tried and old Horizon plug wire I had in the garage, & wow. So I put in a second one.
"Arkainzeye" how did you put that end on? Open it with brute force & then crimp on as best you could or do you have a crimper?
I tried to get that Vic end cap (plug end) off but had to split the boot to get it off and the boot part is what I wanted to reuse. What type of center wire did the ford wire have?

This is a nagging question for me. 2009 plugwires Ohms reading differ from 2010 Ohms reading.  They use the same coil. the parts book shows the same part number for the wires on o9's & 10's. Why the differnt Ohms spec's ? Does it make a difference as to which one you use on an 09 ?

To think Polaris/Victory buys 50 thousand plug wires a year if not more and has the nerve to sell them to us for $60 bucks each.

I look at witchdoctor plug wires and don't understand why one is short and one is long in length. I though you want the same length so the spark travels the same length with the same amount of power.
