I really don't think there is a "name" brand bad wire out there.
You want 8mm carbon fiber wires and both the same length.

The only way you will know witch one is the best is plug it into the coil and hold onto the other end and crank the motor. The one that sends you the farthest across the room is giving you the best spark. ( please don't really try this)

The stock wires will provide all the performance and NO PROBLEMS. They are perfect for the bike and the bike is designed to use them. The front and rear cylinder is supposed to have different resistance readings so buying another type that have the same length is not the way to go.

The ACCEL and MSD 8 mm wires are used on 8000 HP fuelers and Funny cars with 80 amps of ignition power so should handle the bikes 'weeinie' amps. Since the radio is FM not AM, should have zero effect on reception.

is there any "advantage" at all to using non-oem plug wires for OUR application? i dont consider the vision to be a high performance engine. when you have 600cc sports bikes making more HP. (not ragging the vision) just saying..

The reason I ask is because mine NEED to be replaced, they are very badly corroded after only 14,600 miles and two years of riding. The bike is always garaged, probably spent the night out in the rain maybe twice on a trips. Everybody check both ends, yours could be too..........

Conquest Customs is a great Victory vendor and has the Accels.  Instantly recognizable.  One of the guys here on the forum put them on his bike and liked them (can't remember who it was).  Looked cool.

And don't forget the tube of dilectric grease for each end boot, keeps the moisture out and the electricity in

Look at the Victory parts website for spark plug wires, you can get different colors. I think I paid 20-25 dollars a set from my dealer. Do not go to the parts dept and have them look up each wire individually. Everybody can do what they want but I put a set of Magnecore wires and the bike did not run the same even though Magnecore had been great on my Harleys.

I got wires once from my dealer and they sold me the ones for the older Vic bikes. They didn't know there was a difference. I'm still on original wires. Mine is always on the outside and there doesn't seem to be any problems.

There is something very different between the stock vistory wires and any other I've seen. There is a small slot cut in the end of the wire connector that mates with the enside of the coil, in that slot is a small D-ring, it helps to connect to the male style coil connection point........

varyder: I also got a replacement set of wires from Victory, the red ones with black boots they were about $35.00 for the set, they do have the small D-Ring female connectors and they snap right on. The Aceel wires worked fine too, but just for everybodys info wanted to tell about the "custom" replacement wires from Victory...........

I saw those on the Factory parts list a while back & was thinking of ordering a set (09 needs blue) I wrote the number down 2876145

 at $29.99.

Do you have the number that you ordered & got. Also were  they of equal length. I read some place that one is longer (#1) by design

for some reason..

In the Victory Performance catalog they have colored wires for the Vision.....$30.....plug and play and no worries cause they are a true Victory part.

Ive got the red ones on my bike....they do what they are supposed to.

Just read this thread, and looked for a while on line.
If you search for Victory / Polaris parts, you'll find the original equipment wires (4012733, 4012746) at $45 - $55 EACH.
If you search for Victory / Polaris accessories, you'll find the colored wires (2876145) in Yellow (-053), Blue 9-027), or Red (-015) for under $30 a PAIR!

What is Polaris thinking?
