Sorry I had to take care of a issue with the kids and forgot I had started to post this. We rode back with the new vision Monday and I must say the heated seats and grips are great! So is the lower air deflectors! Started out chilly then got in the 80s . The only thing I can say bad is I need to do something with the seat I feel like I have saddle sores. She purred all the way home and the queen even fell asleep for a while. The kids call it my bat cycle since its all blacked out or chrome! Maybe I need some batman emblems to put n it or air brush some on it when I get time. So far so good!! Just have to hook up my iPod wire and work on finding some head set for the intercom and CB.

Congratulations on the new bike.

As far as the headsets for the intercom and CB, I can't recommend the Victory branded ones. I tried them. Go with J&M instead. Actually, if you already have J&M headsets for the Venture, and they are the later style, all you need to do is get the lower cord for the Vision and you can use them on the Vision. I use the same headsets on my Vision, my Sport Cruiser (it has a J&M CB that uses the Goldwing wiring pinouts), and my buddy's Goldwing, just by changing the lower cord to match the bike I'm on.

Most riders that I know have zero issues with the stock seat...I have ridden many bikes over the years and none even come close to the comfort of the Vision seat...I realize that we are all different and too each his own...but I would give the seat some time before you run out and spend bucks on a replacement one....Some that ride many long miles at a time have found some comfort with other saddles, but I switched mine to the lower 8-ball seat due to a short inseam. I like the lower one fine but felt the stock one was much more comfortable for me.....Good Luck with the new ride...

Congrats on the new bike. If the stock seat is uncomfortable it might be what you were wearing. Jeans are not the best clothes to ride in. The little 4 way knot in the crotch sucks. I have had a Vstar 1300 with a Mustang seat max time before fire butt started was 45 minutes. I rode a 2010 Goldwing for a year and the seat sucked on it. I could get an hour before fire butt started. I recently rode the Vision for 2 3/4 hours without getting off and could have ridden longer. Give the seat a little time and I think you will like it.

So a 5pin goldwing headset will work on a vision, with a new lower coard ?

Yes, if you have the LATER style headsets with the separate upper and lower cords. If you have the Elite series J&M headsets, I believe the lower cord is an HC-ZVT for the Vision and an HC-ZB for the Goldwing. Check with J&M to be sure.

I'm using J&M 279 series headsets and I use the HC-PVT lower cord on my Vision and swap it for the HC-PB lower cord to plug into the Goldwing or my Sport Cruiser. Same helmet and headsets work on all of them.

There are also different lower cords for Kawasaki, BMW, Harley, etc. All the different bike manufacturers wire their audio systems different, so J&M figured they would make universal headsets that would work on nearly any brand by using a two piece cord and making just the lower portion brand specific. Smart, if you ask me.
