I have searched and searched, cant find what im looking for.
I know there is someone who has installed these mufflers, and did find a few threads about getting tips for them, but I cant find a "Thrush" part number that has the right demensions to work on the Vision.
Any help here would be great, and if someone has links to an install page that Im unable to find that would be cool to.

Thanks for the help

I believe it is the 24211. Here is a link to the Thrush datasheet. It's not going to be a direct swap. The heat shields will fit perfectly but you'll have to fab up the muffler end mounts and caps. You'll also have to fab up a couple of side bag supports...2 on each side if you deem them necessary.

Single Outlet - Powder Coated
Overall Length 35"
Shell Length 30"
Inlet ID 2 1/4"
Outled ID 2 1/4"
Tube Diam 2 1/2"
Body Diam 4"

One of the guys here cut his tabs off his stock mufflers. He cut the tab and half way around the old muffler to make for a nice way to support the new Thrush.
muffler.
Then he weld every thing in place.
You can get hose clamps at the auto store or hardware store for the heat shields.
He said why save the stock ones no body wants them.

Lots of good info on this thread,
http://www.vision-riders.com/bb/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=7995
I used the 24205 (31" ) mufflers allowing you to use most any 4"dia. slip on tip that are around 9". At 31" this only leave you 2" before the end of the exaust covers for the tips to transition to the 4" daimeter. The 24211 (33" ) will work if you plan on cutting and welding on a bracket for OEM tips.

I used the 31in thrushes from advance auto parts. Then picked up some spectre exhaust tips from O'reilly here in town. I think they were 4in outlet and 9in long. The bolt on exhaust tips lined right up with the last bolt hole on the rear on the bike. No extras just two muffler clamps. Still want to go and have them welded on in a few spots for safety and peace of mind. Thanks to hoever came up with the idea and kept the thread going!!

Did you guys need a new MAP for your fuel injection after adding the Thrush Mufflers? I have the bare stock 2008 setup. No Level one or anything special. I think if I did this I would need to add a Power Commander but wold like to check first with you........

Thanks,
Bill

I did this mod [added thrush mufflers] to my stock 2008, last weekend, early Father's day gift to me. It took my brother and I 4 hours to take off the old mufflers and install the new ones. The sound is so much better. Deeper, throatier sound. The new sound, to me, at cruise speed, sounds like the stock muffler when you roll on the throttle. We put one muffler on and then started up the bike, so the bike had one stock muffler and one thrush muffler. I stood about 5' behind the bike while my brother revved the throttle. what a difference in exhaust pressure. I could clearly feel more exhaust pressure from the thrush. the stock muffler seemed liked it was plugged compared to the Thrush.
I used Thrush 24205 mufflers and for tips I used 4"x9", o'reilly part # 25556 @ $47/each. these tips are resonator style and come with a limited lifetime warranty through o'reilly and are stainless steel.
We spent most of our time taking off the various plastic trim pieces to get to the muffler hardware. I re-used the factory clamps that clamp the header pipes to the muffler. very well built clamps. The heat shields are held on by standard hose clamps. I purchased 6 new hose clamps that went up to 4" diameter in size. the Thrush muffler barrel is much smaller than the factory muffler. the factory hose clamps [that hold the heat shield in place] will be to big for the new Thrush muffler. the factory muffler is bolted to the bike frame in two places. You can't see these bolts until you take off that trim piece that is just below the saddle bags. one thing we had to do to get the factory mufflers off, was used a piece of 2x4 [about 1' long] and with a hammer hit the 2x4 where the muffler slides onto the header pipe and at the same time I twisted the muffler so the bolt towards the back of the muffler, that holds the muffler to the bike, could be twisted away [clockwise on the left side, as viewed from back of the bike, and counter clock wise on the right side of the bike] from the frame. after that bolt cleared the factory muffler pulled right off. interesting the factory muffler must weight twice what the Thrush weighs.
the tips are stainless steel and come with 3 bolts to tighten them to the muffler. The bolts also have some type of u-shaped device that has serrated tips that help clamp the tips to the muffler. One thought I had if I did this again would be to see if o'reilly carries a 5" x 10" resonator tip. That way the tip could be clamped to the barrel of the muffler and perhaps be a better/tighter fit then clamping to the tip of the muffler. The 4 x 9 that I used seems to be on there very tight. I tried and tried to devise a way to secure the back of the muffler to the bike using various exhaust hangers, plumbers metal tape, with no success. As mentioned above I am going to go to a muffler shop or ness and have them weld the back of the muffler to the bike for added security.
OK so what happened when I rode? I did the mod about 75 miles from my house. My wife and I rode home mostly freeway with temps over 100 degrees, briefly hitting 111 degrees [f] I listened carefully for any popping or backfiring, especially on decel. I 'might' have heard popping 3 times during that ride on decel in 3rd gear. I really had to listen to tell if I had 'heard' anything. I plan to add the Ness top intake filter and either remap or add a Ness big shot to be safe.
I was concerned, before the mod, that the pipes might be to loud. One of our neighbors said she hoped it would not be loud. she does not like loud bikes. well when we came home I pulled up in front of her house. turned off the bike and knocked on her door. she came to the door and I said - how did the pipes sound? she said I did not even hear you pull up - case closed
