Hi all for those riders that are 6'4' and taller and carrying some weight. Are you finding that the saddlebags and trunk are enough for one up and two up for a 3 to 5 day trip. Im asking beause we usually have a lot more material to our clothes than the sub six footers. Im 6'5' and 270. Really on the fence between vision and cct

southwest oh

6' 6" 265

Never ride two up.  Carry extra bag on back seat.  Plenty of room.  PLENTY of room.

I've got a NELSON-RIGG CBT-950 sissybar bag that has a detachable round bag that attaches to a main rectangular bag that just keeps unfolding and expanding, never had it completely opened up but, I'll bet you could almost sleep in it. It's about $190.00 and has about three different ways to strap it to your rear seat/backrest/sisybar.

Can we say trailer? My wife is a little bitty thing and I am the big guy. I never had enough space but a trailer sovles it all or get your buddy to buy a sidecar then you have lots of room and no need to extend your self.

have the same problem.. cracks me up that the wife can get 3 days of stuff into about 1/3 of mine... anyway, we are thinking about putting a trailer hitch on the bike and putting a 'cooler carrier' on it vs. towing a trailer.

6' 290 Wife and I went to Rolling Thunder packed for 3 nights including sneakers for each (size 13 for me). The Victory bag for the tour pack worked great and the side bags were for shoes, hats, sunscreen, and whatever else we could fit. I had a pair of jeans, 2 pairs of shorts, 3 t-shirts, and underclothing. We also had our leather vests and riding jackets (had one or the other on). We were pleasantly surprised at how much we fit.

If you don't have a big tool kit, first aid kit, and SLR camera etc filling up one of the side bags, the Vision should be right. I'm 6'7" and 300 and fitted all I needed (geez those size 14's take up some room ) for 6 days into the trunk bag and one side bag (the toolkit, first aid and camera were in the other )....... and that was before i realised that you can fit the first aid kit and critical tools into the neck of the trunk mount ....Just make sure you get the trunk rack, and with a rack bag, both sidebags and the trunk, 3 to 5 days should be a doddle for 2.

Of course, the CCT WILL allow you to have more storage due to the larger saddlebags, so if you are "on the fence"........ Personally, the Vision was my first choice, so I was quite happy to accept that luggage space would be slightly compromised over the CCT. I have never been unhappy with my choice.
