Just on the off chance that the Victory higher ups read any of the posts on sites like this I have one real bich about Victory as a company. The same company who makes some of the best looking, best built bikes around also advertises that they are the New American Motorcycle. I admit that this was really appealing to me as I like to buy american when I can, and I do not mind paying extra to do so either. Why then is every piece of Victory Apparel I pick up made every where but here in the USA. I love the some of the shirts especially the button down ones but not a one is made here in the USA.

I was real proud of Victory for having American Made boots back in 1999 and 2000. I've got a pair. Sadly, I guess they are collectors items now.

The famous brands of work clothes (Carhartt and Levi and Big Smith ) that I've worn for over 50 years all went overseas too (China). The quality went to hell and the prices went up. I searched hard and found an American made brand (Round House, made in Shawnee Oklahoma). The price is very competitive with the Chinese made crap and the quality is great.

The last pair of Redwing work boots I bought turned out to be made in China.

Damn sad state of affairs.

I've found a western wear store that sells many jeans made in the USA. I found that the Riggs work line from wrangler(i think) is very good stuff. Carolina still makes Union made in the USA boots but I do pay for them. not all cardhartt and dickies are made here but you can still find some.

I really like the mechanics shirts that they have but they want an avarge of $70 per and they are made in china or pakistan. Why not get a good shirt company like king louie or someone to make good qua;ity stuff that we would buy and wear as cheap advertising? by the way king louie is also a union shop too.

Those of you looking for quality clothing and clothes that fit after high school should look at Duluth Trading Company. The ballroom jeans are fantastic on the bike and shirts actually have proper sizing. I love the stuff and won't wear anything else. The jeans feel like they will last for years.

I like the look of the DULUTH hose fabric jeans but I'm a really big guy and they don't make waists to fit me, and I'm one of those who can drive past a Mikey D's and put on 2 lbs.

I have a couple pair of fire hose material jeans from duluth trading and think they are alot tougher than regular jeans. they dont stretch out and seem like they'll last forever.

??? Not sure what you mean. I have NO trouble buying HD gear in my size. I'm 6'7" and 300lbs, and I only need a 3XT and they go up to a 4. A Victory 3XL is nowhere near big or tall enough, and that's as large as they go.

It embarrasses the heck out of my local dealer when I walk in wearing my HD jacket. He's desperately putting pressure on Vic headquarters, but so far to no avail

I was checking out the new line of clothes from Victory for 2013 and really like some of them, especially the script T-shirt and Script leather jacket for my wife but there is now way I am paying $35 plus shipping for a t-shirt made in china or a leather jacket made in China. If Victory is proud to make American motorcycles why can't they be proud to make their clothing in America? For the prices they are charging they could easily make them here and still make a little profit plus they are getting free advertisement at the same time. Safe to say I will not be buying their clothing. For those looking for another good American clothing company you ought to check out Pointer Brand here in East TN. Good quality and affordable prices for what you get. I also wear Danner boots but you have to be careful which ones you get because some of their boots are made in China.

You might be on to something Pete? Kid sister gave me a Santa Fe Harley T last year for Christmas. Think I'll start wearing it when I make a visit to the Victory dealership. Then when asked why I'm wearing it I'll just point to their pitiful clothing display and tell them to "think about it".

Diamond gusset jeans seem to be highly rated. I prefer to try clothes on before I buy, so I might detour through Lynchburg TN someday. http://www.gussetclothing.com/

Unfortunately, I think you're right. I understand the need for any company to turn a profit and expand. Companies should be less concerned with billions of dollars in profit and more concerned with the actual customers.

NO CEO is worth $500k-$1M+/year. The POTUS doesn't make that much and he's the leader of the country. A CEO has some important responsibilities and should be compensated for that but let's be reasonable. It's not like he/she's the single person making or breaking a company. I highly doubt the employees see much share of the huge profits but I'll bet the CEO does. It's the employees that make the company.

It took time for me to get to other designer wear other than victory clothing but in time i have found many small shops in America which give rather good clothes. Even some online stores are also worth shopping like amazon, casual plus and all.

Exactly. I'm for the 'free market system', but there has to be a balance. Up until recently we have had an unwritten agreement with the Fat Cats. They took a large share of the spoils (after all, they are taking the risks), but made sure there was enough left for a solid middle class to thrive. There is enough for everyone, but not with these greedy sons-a-beaches taking millions off the top!

Anyway, back to original post, I too wish the clothes were made here, but I've been pleased with the quality of the Victory merchandise I have purchased.

WOW?? Reading all these post? Ya'll should start a apparal company in the United States!! Lucky Jeans in american. Platitudes I read? The main reason "stuff" is made outside the United States is that is what the customer wants. "Lower Price" I spent 20 years in the retail industry? Evan the ones that claim I'll spend more to purchase american DO NOT as a whole. Apple wanted to manufacture their phone in the USA. They learn quick to do so the phone would be $2500.00 or so. PLUS the manufacturing to make the phone would be zoo cost prohibitive by they would have to start from scratch i.e. real estate. But I agree it would be a GREAT selling feature on ALL their apparel!!!
