| Wondering what kind of tool i need to pull wheel bearings from the rear hub? i had the darkside rubber mounted before i did the bearing exchange on the hub, and i don't want to take it to a stealer to have it done.

SF Bay Area | I never re-use bearings, I just drive them out from the othe side with a long metal rod and a hammer... Then chuck 'em. I drive the new one back in with a sockets which is the right size to only hit the outer race. Also, after reinstalling the wheel I retorque the axle nut after a few hundred miles... Just in case the bearing seat any further in the wheel. |

Mt. Vernon, WASH. | Rather than drive the new races into place, wrap them one at a time in a couple of shop towels and squirt the race with a C02 fire extinguisher until they get frosty looking then drop them into place, once they warm up they aren't going anywhere. Old maintenance manual standard practice for LYCOMING and CONTINENTAL opposed airplane engine valve guides. |

| I though we has sealed wheel bearings. Buy bearing from a bearing store you'll better quality bearings.
Check rental shop for a bearing tool. |

New Bohemia, VA | they are sealed wheel bearing. I had all the aftermarket replace bearing and seals and they are the same, if not higher quality than the Victory replace, and are almost half the cost. Everytime I pull my wheel for tire replacement, the bearings are tight and move freely so I'm not going to replace them until I feel wear. However, I need to get a complete set, two bearings per wheel and seals. There is a spacer that goes between the bearings, unless I'm think of something else... |

I don't have the miles you have but I do the same thing every time I replace a tire, I finger check the wheel bearing. If I feel any catch or any kind of looseness out they come. I haven't had to replace wheel bearings on the Vision yet but have replaced wheel bearing on my other bike using the below method. You can save some money and order only a 20mm wheel bearing remover ( $10 ) and a large rod ( $12 ) or you could easily make a large rod. I have SKF 6304 2RSJEM wheel bearings on hand along with SKF CR 30x52x7 HMSS RG #692367 seals on hand, just in case I need to replace them when changing tires.

|  | | 1. The seal has already been popped out and the circlip is removed. | 2. Select the proper size remover and push into the center of the bearing. | 3. With remover in bearing, flip wheel over so remover is on a solid surface. | 4. You can see the slot in the remover looking into the center of the hub. |

|  |  |  |  | | 5. The rod goes in thru the hub and into the slot of the remover. The rod is tapped firmly into the remover. | 6. The wheel is supported up so the remover and bearing can be tapped out with the rod. | 7. A view of the bearing and remover almost out of the hub (viewed from bottom). | 8. Bearing is out. You can see how the rod wedges into the remover, expanding it to hold or grip the bearing. |

| Great thanks for the good instuctions, i am not exchanging bearingsto a new wheel but rather removing old bearings/installing new and for some reason in the powder coat of the rim the old bearingswere left in and they are dern snug and don't easily pop out. |

| Got the bearings out with the 44.00kit from Posse it worked great now waiting for ride on balancer and well have it done thanks all |
