Good mileage in my opinion. Always depends on habits and mechanical condition, sounds like you're doing well.

I replaced mine at 14k. They were not gone yet, but getting there. Had the wheels off for tires, so wtf, replaced the pads too.

I replaced mine at 34k, and there was still room to go.

BTW - 20K in first year - Nice!

The owners manul told me how to check or measure. I did it at 18 k didn't want to replace rotors. I used EBC pads. Maybe a little better stopping but every thing helps

I was on another site where a rider was torquing his banjo bolt down and the manual said 22 foot pounds. Pulled the threads right out. He was in shock.
Should be 22 inch pounds

I'm on my 3rd set at 35k. Neither of the old sets were anywhere near worn. The first set I replaced when I replaced tires since I had things apart already. The second set I replaced when I replaced loose rotors. I plan to put the old pads back on and use them until the grooves disappear.

I have my rear wheel off getting ready to mount a new tire-here's a pic of my stock rear pads at 30,000 miles 90% two up. I have new pads ready but these have a lot of life left in them-Brian
