Saw a video on Youtube : Mike Wolf from American Pickers talks about the new engine from Polaris / Indian. All you can tell is it's a V twin......... Should be on display at Daytona Bike week 2013.

Yeah it should be interesting, I only hope it ( the new engine ) has ditched the pushrods, has 4 valves per cylinder and fuel injection with cruise control..........

The exhaust sounds good, now what the hell is it and is it any different from the Victory engine?

It has nothing in common with a Vic engine; other then being a V-twin. It is a radically improved PP105

I hope it doesn't look like the Power Plus.

I was surprised to see the Indian motor is only air cooled, according to the Indian website.

It's a pipe dream but I would like to have an Indian someday. I think whatever the Polaris owned Indian motor turns out to be that it will be reliable and pleasing to the eye, at least my eye

You never know, you might one day. I would like to own one too but it will be a few years at least. Still have one in college.

I don't know how the PP105 can be "radically" improved. And to people who say no it's not a Harley Evo clone: I bet it uses the same crank pin, flywheels, rods, caged roller bearings, pinion shaft, sprocket shaft, lifters, lifter blocks, oil pump, push rods, valves, valve springs, valve guides and valve seats as a HD Evo..............Hmmm ????? And you can buy their replacements from S&S or Drag Specialities too........

The new Polaris Indian engine and design will be all new. Look for it in 2014. I for one can hardly wait.

+1 on desperately always having wanted to own an Indian. Won't happen anytime soon though.
