What I am gathering from these "stage 1" kits is that you keep the fuel
management controller of Victory's. I would have thought everyone would
prefer something from an aftermarket vender instead of the OEM for the
fuel management?

I find it kind of odd that Victory owners call it "stage 1", and every other
MC board would call it Slip on Muffers with a Fuel Management module.
Is it more than that? I know I WILL have to do something about the heat
on the Vision, or it will be parked 6 months of the year. I was thinking
I could go to the local Dynotune guy, and he would install a Power
Commander III to get the fuel richer, and make the bike run cooler.
I don't want anything louder on the pipes.

Okay, I've seen the pics and there is no doubt that if I go with the stage 1 kit the dealer will be doing the install. From what I see in the Victory catalog the Stage 1 (level 1) kit includes a new air cleaner as well as a EFI "recalibration". I'd be REALLY interested in your thoughts on the system (and the added noise level if any) after your done with the install and have a few miles on the bike. If the dealer can "recal" the EFI it seems to me that a good dyno shop can richen the mixture to get the axtra fuel to help engine cooling.

Keep the rubber side down, ride safe and often!!!!!
