Just got the Email (several actually) from the mfg. (Korea)

Their package is for Front and Rear @ $550. personally, I'm not anxious to do the front since I just finished the "Nozzledog" mod. But the rear, I think most would agree that they could use some help.

I'm probably not smart enough to be the first one to attempt this so I'm hoping someone will be jumping on this and posting how the install went.

It's only the boards, we will need to install them in our own lens'.

It would be nice if they offered a link to the installation instructions. Then we'd know how difficult the install would be.

I'll wait for the USA made model, even if it costs a little more.

Upon reading (all the way at the bottom of the link), it looks like these aren't a drop-in replacement.

there is nothing to send to them... they will not install them into your Lens, you must accomplish this yourself.

There are NO Installation Instructions!

Other than the few lines at the bottom of the link, that's it!

Here is the Email I got back when I had inquired about the install:

The install instructions are mainly for headlights and tail lights, since we have to install those LED products inside to take photos. With the Victory, we don't have access to those parts (or the bike). So, creating install instructions is quite a bit more difficult. We did have 1 person create install instructions but they referred to pictures that he took during the install as well, so sending you his instructions without editing would be kind of helpful, but you'd need the pictures to follow along. Without actually having touched the bike or seen it be installed first hand, it's difficult to come up with complete instructions that aren't SUPER SUPER detailed, but detailed and helpful enough that it makes the installation easy. I WILL see what I can do with the instructions he made to make them easier to understand (without needing the pictures).

He did send us a video of them working on his bike, so we're trying to make do and put them together into 1 video.

No needing of engineer knowledge for installation.

I have to cut him some slack... his English is a lot better than my Korean.

So what is it that you want to accomplish with L.E.D. lights ? I have been playing with a few parts, the rear valence and tail light surround my idea is to take out the lights, fill in the rear valence and tail light surround still making it two parts, . That would give a nice smooth area to add a Frenched in licence plate and any
combination of flat or Frenched vin tail lights.
With parts (used) some fiberglass work and some paint and body work you can have a custom tail section that is way brtighter than stock. I am working with a body shop guy now, we think it can be done for under 600.00 plug and play.

Justin,

I am looking for brighter (seen easily in direct sunlight), but don't want to lose the sequential blinkers (Vision-Mod.com). I recently added Hyperlites to help with being seen during the day, but feel like I am bolting on another aftermarket thing to the bike.

I believe part of the reason(S) the Usa made ones didnt come out yet were due to troubles and possible inspection law issues, if i remember the thread for 2-3 years ago correctly... i remember something about 1) cruise control issues 2) some states like mine (pa) have a inspection law where the turn signals can NOT be closer than 4 inches to the brake light.... THIS IS WHY victory made the brake light /turn signals they way they did... They did this to be 50 states legal...... "technically" these lights that we see here do Not meet some state inspection law already... I personally learned this learn back in 2007 with one of my other motorcycles.. i bought aftermarket LED signals and put them on a kawasaki i owned.. they were too close to the brake light and i failed inspection... i was pissed... the shop said, just because someone sells them, does Not mean they are legal for street use...

I bought them from ExLed. English speaking tech helped with directions/installation. Very fast service and turnaround info. Not a really big hassel for installation although care must be taken in removing taillights and removing sealant. Blue wire on instructions not explicit enough. Must hook up blue wire for rear turn sigs. Front blue wire does not get hooked up. Every thing was clear enough and they worked 100%. The guys I ride with complain that they need to wear sunglasses when riding tail.

I did not add baluns. just left bulbs in for compensation. Did not paint them and no effect after 600 miles. Just added info....

Chris S is making led lights for front, rear, and trunk. He is currently making a set for my trunk for turn, brake, and marker. Very reasonable prices.
