Why would you even try stopping a 800 pound bike with one break and the rear will not help

what a s---- a--... who said i was trying to stop the bike with one "brake" rotor... i didn't know and was therefore asking if the rims were similar, not knowing there was only one "brake" rotor, on the kinpin set-up... some people are really snippy when it comes to an honest question...

That was snippy? It is how ever YOU make it...I read it as him asking why would you do that? In the sake of safety.. now you wanna talk about snippy... how about the post right after that??

I didn't see that as snippy either, more like concern for your safety.

To answer the question: Yes a KP wheel will fit, they are the same size and take the same axle spacers.

And to add fuel to the fire: A Hammer wheel will also work and it has dual disks if you feel you want them.

thanks for that intelligent response, Rylan. I would figure there would have to be some mods to the Vision to take a single caliper on the front. But I guess it would be no more than changing out both master cylinders, huh.

BBQuiz has a point guys... this is not AOL instant messenger.

I do get tired of wading through pages of "Words of Wisdom" (AKA pissing contest) only to find that the original topic was lost back on page one.

Thank you Rylan for bringing it back to center.

It's not the site that's gone to $hit, it's people. So many people can not get past posting nothing if they don't know the answer. They have to post something even if it's a total waste of time.

Keep us posted on your swap. Post pics too.
It's your bike, I don't care if you have dual, single or no front brake at all.

I have followed this thread for a few dats waiting for someone to post an answer to the actual question, Thank God for Rylan. With that being said, Rylan would the wheels from a Sport Cruiser fit on a Vision? The reason I ask because the stock vision tyre combo does not allow for tyres rated at anything above 130 mph sustained and a "warmed over" 106 can take a VV way pass 130.PS fellas all Sport Crusiers had dual front rotors.

1) anything can work with enough time and money.
2) that being said they will not directly bolt on and would need unknown amounts of custom fabrication to make happen.
3) The SC wheels are 17" and good luck finding a 17" tire that will last longer that 5000 miles on a bike the size of a Vision. They barely last loner than 5000 on the smaller/lighter Sport Cruiser.

You can put a "V" rated 140/70v18 on a vision. Bridgestone Battleax used on the rear of a Ymaha. "V"rate will take you above 135mph. Not sure maybe 160.  Doesn't rub! feels good at 85.

Actually, I could never get much more than 3000 miles out of a rear tire on my SC until Michelin came out with the dual compound tires in 17 inch sizes. Now, 10,000 miles is easy (on the Sport Cruiser anyway).

I've had my Vision at 140 MPH, but don't make a practice of holding it at those speeds for very long--just long enough to make a point. The H rated tires are fine on the Vision, if you're worried about the speed. You're not going to be running over 130 MPH very often or very long ( the operative word you used was "sustained"), and the H rated tires don't automatically blow up at 131 MPH.
