I also went to MOM's both Thursday and Saturday. I fond the pre production bikes did not ride as good as the new ones. They had rattles when the wind shield was all the way up. I ended up ordering a Chieftan. They told me it should be in around Dec. But I am keeping my Vision. I love the Vision and on long rides its the best bike out there. Plus I put a lot of miles on it. I put 65K on my 08 vision then traded it in on my 2011 Vision. That has 63K miles on it now. The Chieftan will be my every day bike. The Vision will be my long ride bike.

Well the directions in the owners manual for changing your PIN code are hosed. According to my dealer I'll have to bring it in so they can get the master PIN and then he will show me how to change the PIN. I'll be down in Daytona on Thursday for my 500 service so I'll post what I learn then.

I love innovation, but I never thought there would be a day anyone would have worry with a PIN on a motorcycle. The other thing I would be concerned with is riding in the pouring rain, will the throttle by wire get confused?

The PIN may turn out to be the best thing since... the Vision.
Even if I lose my fob or leave it in my sock drawer, I can turn the bike on. I love the idea of not having a key.

I owned an HD, notorious at least in my mind for failed electronics, and the one thing that seemed to be reliable in the rain was the throttle by wire feature. My cruise had troubles, my turn signals had troubles, even my brake switches had troubles but the throttle controls were solid.

OM, Thanks for sharing, good to know to have confindence in this featue.

DV, I leave my key in the bike most of the time, drives the wife nuts. I've only lost my bike key once, well, didn't really lose it, threw it the trash at work. Thankfully, I had it on a long tassle fob and the trash bigs are clear. I was able to find it in 10 short minutes in the dumpster.

As I get older I seem to get distracted easily, so I have a procedure for getting on and off the bike, including putting the key on my key chain. Otherwise, who knows where it will end up! lol

I never take my key out. It is cut off with a decorator knob on it. Looks like another push button on the bike. Knob stops you from pushing it down to lock or unlock the fork. Take it out lock the fork and put it back in. The only thing they can steal is decorated key, but it's still locked. I do keep a key on me to lock the bags & the trunk.

I was reading a post on The Indian riders forum and one poster was wondering how many Indians have been built, sold ect...... poor guys, they don't know yet, but if Ma Polaris treats the Indian side of the fence the same as us on the Victory side they'll never know any numbers after # 1901 is delivered..........

It don't really matter what they publish in numbers of units being sold, but what you see on the highway. The point being, the more folk see, the more they will sell.

Probably take six months to a year, but I'm sure if he chooses to do so he'll have good products for the TS111...........

I would never take on a cammed Freedom 106 but it sure would be fun to go sniping for CVO 110's.

I like the nob feature for the key. That's a good idea. I should try that. I'm one of those guys too that will leave my key in the ignition when at home in the garage. I did the Indian demo a month or so back. Very nice bike for a bar hopper, but I will not be buying one. I guess I'm just gonna have to envy those that purchased their Indians just as long as they don't hold me up on those 700 mile plus day trips. I got in contact with a local VOG member that lives in Northern Arizona. He just purchased the Chieftain and told me he would give me a jingle when he's ready to roll, which hasn't happened for some time now. I wonder why. Too cold for him perhaps? Peace.

The girder/springer front end is very cool but the only thing I am absolutely drooling over is the cantilevered seat.  (There's a set-up if I ever saw one...)  I'll be riding mostly with the solo seat/grabrail and rear fender luggage rack so that seat set-up would be awesome.  Beach bars are gonna be cool also.

I'll head back to Charlotte in the spring for all of the upgrades.
