So as I've been pondering changing the fork oil on my 2009 Nessy (24k miles) I was wondering if anyone has drilled and tapped a hole to drain the oil without removing the forks, etc. etc.  Could it be done?  Anybody done it?

Of all the good things Victory did in the design , why didn't they put a drain hole in the down tubes. Other manufacturers do it.

I remember some of my old metric bikes had this... since more than likely victory just purchases suspension parts, its up to the design of the company making them. I do wonder why you dont see more of that... I wonder if there was a down side to it??

At the bottom of the forks is a hole that leads up to a 6mm allen bolt. You pull that and fluid will drain out. Big trick is more how to fill the forks

Hummm, then perhaps creating an access point on top?

Fork fluid change is not that big of a deal-do it when you have your front wheel off for a new tire. I went with a full synthetic 10W(Silkolene)and it feels great.
