Not a bad deal at all, I've given up looking for the best price alone. If I want my local dealer to stay in business and feel they are a good partner, I pay whatever they tell me. I'm not saying i pay sticker price, but I don't go for the absolute lowest price. I want them to service it as well when the time comes!

It is always good to get a nice price, but I am more in favor of being satisfied with the local dealer's deals and his continued partnership...Some times these posted "so-called deals" are generally not the real bottom line....Hope your satisfied and the Vision is a great bike....

This was a few years back. I bought my brand new 2009 Vision Tour Premium in February of 2010. The dealer was asking $16,500 and I had a $500 off coupon from Vic that I threw in at the end knocking it down to $16,000 (that's $7,000 off MSRP). I didn't want to let my 03 TC go but I just couldn't pass this up-I had already walked away for a week and came back and it was still there. The 1+4 year warranty was going then too-I have only been back to that dealer, 75 miles away in South Denver twice for a new radio & headlight module under warranty. I do my own maintenance and with over 35,000 miles on the Vision I'm happy.

If you and the dealer are both happy you have a good enough deal. If you and the dealer are both a bit unhappy, you have a great deal. There is no such thing as a best price except locally. If your local dealer has no trouble selling Victorys at list price, anything less than list is a good deal for you. If the Vics sit around the showroom waiting for a rare buyer, the dealer is likely to give you a better price just to move inventory. It will be a price that he/she might otherwise find completely unacceptable. When I was shopping for a 2013 Vision, I found that my trade entered into the deal more than I really wanted. What I cared about was the net cost to me. I bought the bike a mere 8 weeks ago and have no idea what the price was. What I do know is the price to me after my trade. I went with the deal that was best for me in terms of net cost. My 2011 HD Road Glide Ultra was severely discounted at one place and traded at top book at the other place. It was not in perfect condition but was in good condition. The place that gave me top book value for my trade and gave me nominal list for the Vision came out about $3500 cheaper net cost to me. I really cared more about the net than about the price of the new bike so they got my business.

I paid $20k OTD for my new '12 in Sept '12. Seemed like a fair enough deal.

Paid full MSRP back in late November 2007 when I bought my 2008. Same dealer gave me the best deal I've seen on a 2013 antifreeze green cross country. Using the same dealer and referring friends has worked out well. In the long run, I've came out way better than if I had nickel and dimed my dealer back in 2007.

Paid 19K and change this past March for my "new" 2011 Vision with 80 miles on it. So I guess you did ok.

My 2011 was on the floor for a year at a dealer in the Atlanta area. Offered on bike trader for 18K, dealt down to 17K and then used the demo coupon to get to 16K.
