Tavares, Fl | Anyone heard how the couple did towing the camper with the vision???? I haven't seen anyhing posted. I tow a Bunkhouse with a Venture and can't wait to see how the Vision does.... |

| I just sold the Harley but have the trailer. A check of the Vision owners manual says "do not tow a trailer..." I am getting ready to sell the trailer unless I learrn that I can tow and get a hitch. |

Billings, MT | Don't sell trailer yet. I will be putting a hitch on my Vision this weekend, and then going for a 200 mile ride with a trailer that I built this winter. It will be the first time pulling a trailer with a motorcycle. It should be an adventure, I will fill you in when I get home. |

| We got the Bushtec hitch on our Vision a couple weks ago.
Andrew at Bushtec ran the Vision through extensive tests before they released the hitch for sale.
The biggest thing is to make sure you have some tongue weight, if you're pulling an empty trailer.
So far we only had one chance to pull our trailer with it, but it worked fine.
I pulled the trailer with my Royal Star Venture before this and I don't think I'll have any problems with the Vision.
As far as Victory saying don't pull a trailer, I don't think any motorcyle manufacturer reccomends it.
I'll be pulling the trailer out to AVR next month. I'll update you when I get back. |

| Thanks to Badog69 and Tramp. Looking forward to hearing how you made out. Rode with the trailer to Sturgis on the Ultra last year with litlte issue despite heavy wind, heavy rain and a flat. In the meantime I will google Bushtec. |

Billings, MT | I spent the weekend at a machine shop, built my own hitch. Nice to have people that are willing to help! We built a hitch for my vision in about 20 hours, no charge for his labor, cost me about 30 bucks in material. Damn thing is stout and solid! Wired about the Vision with a relay package tested lights, hooked up trailer. Off I went. I have never towed a trailer with a motorcycle before, I was a little shaky at first, just did not know what to expect. Should have felt better about myself, the Vision was perfect! She responded to trailer very well, in no time i was going down the highway at 80 miles an hour! Damn the bike impresses me more and more every time I ride her! The Vision is a awesome trailer tower!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will post a few pictures in a couple of days. |

But they are happy to see third party vendors manufacture them for their bikes because they know there are people who wouldn't buy their bike if there wasn’t a solution for pulling a trailer. The better the frame geometry and balance of the bike the better it should pull a trailer and since the Vision leads the industry in these areas it should be the best at pulling a trailer if the hitch is designed right. |

Any chance you wrote down any measurements to go with the pictures, or maybe your buddy wants to build some and sell them? I admire bushtec for all the R&D work and testing (with a loaner motorcycle no less) but I have a hard time comprehending why a chunk of iron to bolt a tow ball on should cost anywhere near $500.00. |

| Was just reading your post on building your own receiver, are you making them or do you have plans so someone like myself can build my own? I'm sure their are a lot more that would be interested in the plans also.

| I have a hitch doctor on my 08 vision. My first trailer used to start to fish tail around 80mph. little scary. I blaamed it on the small wheels. After a couple of years I got one with larger wheels and it tows great. I like having the cooler on the outside of the trailer.
A friend of mine has a goldwing and he tows a trailer as well. WARNING! if you travel with a group your friends will ask to stow their s**t in your trailer!

| Let's see if I've finally figured this out. I have a Hitchdoc on my 2010 and pull a Windward Camper with it. Had it up to 75 a few times though 70 or lower is plenty fast. I lived on the road for 8 years and have pulled the camper with an '85 K/100/RT BMW and a '97 Kawasaki Concours, so if those 2 bikes can pull a trailer, the Vision certainly should.

| My first trailer (fiberglass) I bought used. It was made in Quebec. I do not recommend it.

| I pull a leesurelite camper with my vision. Using a bushtec hitch I think the vision does a better job pull than my 1880 goldwing did.

Pierson, FL United States | I put a bushtec hitch on my Vision and have towed our Rollahome camper with no issues. Weighing the trailer tongue is very important and packing only nessaries is important. Other than that, it pulls as well as my goldwing did. |
