have an 08 vision with 58,000 miles cam vfc111 and air filter added. all of a sudden it hesitates and misses like it is not getting fuel. checked the schrader vavle and fuel sprays out of it. i'm wondering if it could be bad gas or water in the gas. it gets better the more i ride it but still feels like it is missisng. anything i can check myself or will it need to go get plugged in at the shop?

Check the air intake harness. Mine was rotting and leaking bad.

Check spark plugs & wires. Also check fuel pressure & fuel pressure drop when injectors are pulsed.

don't i need a special tool to check the fuel pressure, an air gauge wouldn't do it would it?

According to this article I would guess a tire pressure gauge would work, but then gauge would be ruined.

yeah, I'd check the fuel pressure FIRST. I had a failure on mine, the dealer did over $100 worth of "troubleshooting" only for it to be the fuel pump that has no code, just pressure at the Schrader valve.

I would still check the IAC and all the rubber hoses, the vacuum feed was split and had fallen off the nipple. When that happened my bike would stall coming to a stop and it liked to back fire on all down shifts. The connection will need a 1/2 inch rubber hose to reconnect the IAC back to the nipple feed.

could also be as simple as some bad gas clogging up one of the fuel injectors... I had a similar thing happen with my Vision recently and a bottle of fuel system cleaner (Techron) and a tank of gas cleared it up after about 150 miles of riding.
