Pittsburgh, PA | I did a search before i posted this and couldnt find any info. I wanted to know if these from victory fit ALL their models? Not only does it fit. but will it give the same readings on oil level as the stock Dippie does? I understand the thread might be the same, i was just wanting to make sure it will correctly give me proper readings for oil level.. thanks.  |

San Antonio, TX United States | Just make sure you order the dipstick from Victory. Yes they will give the correct reading. I am a tech and change oil and service Vic's all day. I have yet to see one that was off enough to make any difference. |

Pittsburgh, PA | thanks guys... i have one last question about the subject.. Does the Thermometer Dippie have marking on it for checking the oil level? I ask because i just looked up a few Victory thermo Dippies and i didnt see any markings on the section where you would check oil level.. |

San Antonio, TX United States | The marking is an engraved mark around the circumference of the dipstick. Hard to see in a photo, but very easy to read when it is actually in your hand. |

Island Lake, Alberta, Canada | Mine runs at 190 F, with an ambiant tempurature of 20 C, at 16:35 in the day, at 115 Kms/Hr. Once had it cranked up to 205 F. in stop & go, at 32 C. at 16:23. Just love when engineers run my life. |

Pittsburgh, PA | mine runs right around 200F when i run in 85f-90F temps. When i stop in traffic it jumped to close to 210F. When im on the highway crusing it drops to 190F |

Reno County, KS | Just got mine installed and did one last quick ride today before I take off to work. The temp stuck right @ 200F. Looks like this is the center of the dipstick, so they must have had that in mind when they made the thing. The only question I have is what should the "green band" be for this engine? I plan on riding through Arizona in September, so I thought it would be a good idea to have the engine temp readout. Temps hit 106 or so regularly here in the Summer too. Anyway, a good "green band" figure would be greatly appreciated.

Arkansas | Had mine out in west Texas and New Mexico a few weeks back, running the freeways and back roads and traffic alike. Temp was max 105 deg F on the panel while on freeway in moderate traffic- oil temp showed 210 max- most times at 200. And, I'm running the stock download with stage 1L1. |

Prescott Valley, AZ | Been using it for 6 or 7 months now here in central AZ and the temp runs constantly between 180 and 210. The highest I've seen so far is 220 on a REALLY HOT day in stop and go traffic. It is sold by Victory and from what I'm told with work fine on any of the Freedom engines. The markings are NOT visable IF you have too much oil in the engine however. Last oil change they put in nearly 1/2 quart too much, had to take a turkey baster to siphone it out!!!!!!

Eyota, MN | Mine normally runs about 195-205 in 75-85 degree temps but I was in a parade of bikes one day it got up to 250 degrees, outside temp was around 90 degrees. |

Pittsburgh, PA | I noticed for the first time when riding a passenger long distance (200 miles) that in 6th gear running about 75-80mph in 70F temps the oil temp dipstick was 205F min if not a tad higher. Usually im right around 200F when its just me. I thought the faster temps would give more wind to the oil cooler. But i guess faster speed of course means more heat. I guess more heat than the increase in wind could cool. All still within specs. |
