Fellow Riders

I just had a Barnett clutch setup installed on my 13 Vision. I was told there is a break in period but I am concerned with the following issues I am experiencing. These are happening after a 60 mile ride with the new clutch.

Bike in 1st gear, clutch pulled all the way in, the bike icontinues to push forward

Down shifting causes the gears to chatter e.g. when the teeth of the gears are fully engaged

Towards the end of the ride, I had to pus hard on the shift lever at least 2 times before it would downshift.

If you have any experience with Barnett clutches and break in I could really use your input and advice. fyi...I've notified the mechanic and he will be checking it out tomorrow.

I experienced nothing that you describe, sounds like the wrench needs to take a look as something isn't right. As to a break in period, I never heard anything about that either, just rode it like my normal. Mine was an 08 if that makes any difference and Kyle did the install.

I did a Barnett clutch install on my 2009...Never had a problem and it requires no break in period...Whole lot better than the stock clutch! Had 50K on my stock one before I changed to Barnett!!!!

I didn't really notice too much difference.

Out of adjustment. It's dragging....... Any clutch can do this if not set up properly.
